The first comes the name and history of college which carries a lot of faith in itself. Well since I am a muslim I preferred this college over a few which I was getting on my JEE (mains) and MH CET score due to religious reasons. But also there are people of different castes and religion here and are treated exactly same ,like there is no partiality in it. Rest there are no Group Discussions or PI for admission ,you just have to enroll the name of the college during the online admission phase and if your cutoff is valid you can reserve your seat by paying the seat reservation amount.
I am in Computer Science Engineering ( specialization in AI and ML ), I selected this course as I have a keen interest in automation and computer softwares. Also as AI and ML are booming in the current world this becomes a win win situation for me. All the students included in the curriculum are related to the field such as machine learning, deep learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big data analysis, data structures, database management and many more. The faculty here is decent and can help you for slightly better understanding the topics rest majority of the engineering students rely on Youtube studies.
The yearly fee structure starts from 137500 and goes on increasing upto 143491. They ask for one time payment of the fees but look into your matter and if you have difficulties in paying the whole fees together you can ask for installments. there are mainly three types of scholarships available here namely EBC ( mahadbt.gov.in ), TFWS ( shikshamentor.com ) and there is a minority scholarship for lower caste students. The EBC provides around 50% tution fee for the students having family income certificate of less than 8 lakhs. Then comes TFWS which is only applicable to 3 students if there are around 60 students in a class, it also requires a family income certificate less than 8 lakhs. The last is Minority in which the student can apply if he/she has a valid caste certificate and family income certifiate less than 8 lakhs, the beneficiary receives a amout of 50,000.
Social Life at Saboo is decent where we get to participate in organising many events by taking part in different communities and can also take part in it. Rest taking about the culture festival we have (Ambrosia) is a centre of social gathering with full of games and events where you interact with many many people and participate in many of them. Overall it's a nice campus to be in. But But sometimes it can be a little boring too.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
