MPKV UG Admissions are done through counselling based on the marks secured by the candidate in the higher secondary examinations or other qualifying examinations and also through a Common Entrance Test. 

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th to get admission into UG courses.
  • To be eligible for PG courses, candidates must have UG degree in relevant discipline.
  • A Common entrance examination (CET) is conducted for M.Tech admission.
  • MPKV PG Admissions are based on the Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research PG Common Entrance Test (MCAER PG CET). 
  • To pursue PhD courses, a valid score in NET is required.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary examination or other equivalent qualifying examinations with PCMB or PCB as major subjects.
  • Those who were not offered Biology or Mathematics during their higher secondary education will be required to take a deficiency course prescribed by the university.
  • The candidate should have secured a minimum score of 50% to 55% in the qualifying examination.

Selection Criteria

  • Eligible candidates are evaluated based on the marks secured in the previous qualifying examination. 
  • The candidate should also clear a Common Entrance Examination MHT CET
  • Selected candidates will be allotted seats after counseling.

How to Apply?

  • Application forms for undergraduate courses will be available online. An application fee is not required if the candidate has appeared for the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test.
  • Scanned copies of the 12th grade mark sheet (along with a letter from the principal if the percentage is not mentioned in the mark sheet), the 10th grade mark sheet, school or college leaving certificate, migration certificate, date of birth certificate, and identity proof certificate if required.
  • The candidate will be required to attend a Common Entrance Test, after which counseling will be held.
  • Once a seat has been allotted, the student is required to bring the documents for verification.

  • The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any of the following: Agriculture, Home Science, Biotechnology, Animal Husbandry, and related courses or equivalent courses with a minimum grade point average of 5.0 CGPA
  • The candidates are also required to clear the CET with their names in the merit list released by the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board.

Selection Criteria

  • The candidates are required to clear the Common Entrance exam conducted by the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board.
  • Following the announcement of the results, the candidate must attend counseling, after which seats will be assigned.
  • Admission will be based on 70% of the marks secured in the Common Entrance Test and 30% will be from the CGPA of the graduate course.

  • The application fee will be Rs. 1500/-for candidates outside Maharashtra and for the open category. The application fee will be 750/-for SC, ST, EWC, NT, and OBCs of Maharashtra.
  • The candidate has to fill in the form and upload scanned copies of the marksheet of the qualifying examination, score of the Common Entrance Test, college leaving certificate, caste certificate, and bonafide certificate, along with a scanned photograph and signature.
  • The admission process will be done by the SMB, Mumbai.

FAQs

Ques. Will the student get re-admitted to the college when he leaves?

Ans: When a student leaves the college due to an unavoidable situation, with prior permission from the principal, the student can be readmitted to the college.

Ques. Will there be a refund if the student leaves or wishes to cancel the admission after the commencement of the classes?

Ans: In such cases, the education fees and hostel fees (if applicable) will be recovered from the student for the number of days the student attended the classes.

Ques. Can a student be transferred from one college to another? 

Ans: If the student has cleared the previous semester during the time of transfer, he/she will be allowed only before the commencement of the third and fifth semester. 

Ques. Can a student seek admission to a semester other than the first semester?

Ans: The student can seek admission by paying a fine of Rs 100/-per day for a maximum period of five days, including the day notified for registration.

Ques. Should the student pay any extra application fee when the student is from a university outside Maharashtra?

Ans: The student is required to pay Rs 200/- along with the Migration Certificate signed by the registrar of the university.
