Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is located in the city of Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana. It was established in 1998. The campus of MANUU is around 200 acres, and it offers about 97 programs in both regular and distance modes. The University is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission), and has received Grade ‘A’ accreditation from NAAC It is also given an AAA rating in MBA.

MANUU Latest Update:

MANUU offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral level programs in various disciplines. Admission to the UG programs is based on the CUET UG scores. Admission to PG programs is based on Merit in the qualifying exam or on scores of the Entrance exam conducted by MANUU. However, the University also accepts AICTE Entrance Test and NCTE Entrance Test scores for MBA/MCA/BTech Lateral Entry and B.Ed/M.Ed programs respectively. MANUU Admission to PhD program is based on the entrance exam and Interview conducted by the University. 

MANUU offers good placement assistance to the students. The 2023 placement report has not been released yet. As per MANUU NIRF overall report 2023, the average salary package of UG (3 years) and UG (4 years) students during MANUU Placement 2022 stood at INR 2.40 LPA and INR 4.00 LPA, respectively. Also, the median package of PG (2 Years) and PG (3 years) stood at INR 3.8 LPA and INR 3.6 LPA, respectively. Top recruiters of MANUU Placement 2022 included BBC, Amazon, Akshara E Center, Accenture, Data Core India Pvt Ltd, Galpha Laboratories, Genpact, and Globsyn Technologies.

MANUU Hyderabad: Scholarship

After admission, the candidates can apply for scholarships. The PhD research scholars receive INR 8000/- p.m. as per the UGC Non-NET Fellowship. Names of some scholarships are:

  • Hamdard Scholarships for Students: Applicable for outstanding Muslim students of Science, Engineering, Medicine, Commerce, and Social Sciences at the Higher Secondary level, Senior Secondary Level, and Graduation Level.
  • Jauhar National Scholarship: Applicable for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Muslim students of all streams, who belong to the financially weak category but have excellent merit. A cash prize of INR 10,000/- and a certificate is provided to them.
  • Israel Government Scholarship: This scholarship is provided for researching subjects like Middle East Studies, Comparative Study of Religions (with special reference to Judaism), Hebrew language and literature, History of Jewish People, Agriculture, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Management, Mass Communication, Environment Studies, Chemistry, and Economics.
  • Commonwealth Scholarship in the United Kingdom: In the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development for Master’s and Doctorate Programs, consider a few developmental themes such as Science and Technology for Development, Access, Inclusion, and Opportunity, etc. under this scholarship.
