Nalanda Open University Admission

Nalanda Open University offers courses UG, PG, PG Diploma, and certificate courses in areas of arts, science, and commerce. The candidates will be selected for these courses based on merit or through tests conducted by the institute.

How to Apply?

The candidates who are interested in applying to any of the courses offered by the institute can apply online as well as offline through the following processes:

Offline Application Process

• The candidates will have to procure the admission form (Annexure-A) and the prospectus from the sales counters of the University by submitting a demand draft of INR 450 or by sending a demand draft of INR 400 by registered post.
• No money order or postal order will be accepted. Only the demand draft in favor of Nalanda Open University will be accepted. 
• The admission form should be supported with a photocopy of all the required documents. 
• The candidates will have to send the admission form and the documents to the university before the last date. The address is mentioned below:

Online Application Process

• The candidates will have to visit the official website of the institute and click on Nalanda Open University Login.
• Look for the admission link and then click the ‘New Admission’ button.
• Create a new account to register yourself, by providing all the required information. 
• The candidates will receive an email and a text message consisting of all the credentials to log into their account.
• The candidates will be then redirected to the OTP page and then they will receive the OTP in the registered phone number.
• After entering the OTP, they will be taken to the registration cum prospectus fee payment page, where they will be required to make a payment of INR 500. 
• Next, the candidates will be taken to the main application form page, where they can start filling up the application form with all the required details.
• The candidates will have to choose their course, based on their eligibility. They can choose only one course, as there is no provision for applying for multiple courses.
• After filling up the form, they will have to scan the original documents and upload them.
• Preview the application and cross-check all the details before submitting the form.
• Submit the form and pay the application fees.
• The application fees should be paid online. SBI collect or demand drafts are not accepted for the online application process.

Documents Required

Some of the basic documents that will be required for Nalanda Open University admission are mentioned below. 

• Attested Certificate of Matriculation for Proof of Age.
• Attested Photocopy of mark sheet of the qualifying examination, which has been mentioned as an eligibility condition for getting admission in the desired course.
• Attested Caste Certificate (for candidates seeking admission on reserved quota), issued by DM/DC/SDO or any other person authorized to issue certificates for SC/ST/BC/OBC candidates.
• Passport-size photograph.
• Signature both in Hindi and English.
