Eligibility Criteria: 

Here is the eligibility criterion for the UG program 2024:

• For UG courses, students must have scored well in 10+2 or equivalent done from a recognized institute with a registered board.
• Students have to score at least 50% marks to get admission in the UG program.
• Some relaxation will be provided to SC/ ST/ OBC background.
• Students can pursue any program according to their 10+2 stream.

Selection Criteria:

The selection criteria for UG admission 2024:

• Students can get admission by merit-based shortlisted list.
• Students have to qualify for the entrance exam taken by the university.
• They need to score more than 50% to get admission.
• After the entrance, students must have to give an interview.
• After final selection, students have to submit the required documents to the university.

How to Apply?

Here are some steps to follow for applying to the bachelor's degree programs:

• Students have to visit the official website (http://nalandaopenuniversity.com/ ) of Nalanda Open University.
• Press the Apply now button given in the admission tab and fill in all the personal details in the registration form.
• After filling out the form, upload the necessary documents by the Nalanda Open University.
• After uploading, submit the registration fee by demand draft which is INR 450 from the sales counter and INR 400 by registered post.
• The entrance exam mode will be an offline mode for the entire entrance exam.
• Download the copy of the registration form as proof.

Documents Required

Documents required by the University for Verification:

• A student has to submit an attested matriculation certificate as proof of age.
• They should have a self-attested caste certificate from DM/ DC/ SDO or other certificates like SC/ OBC/ ST.
• Students have to submit an application form with other documents photocopy like the 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, photograph, caste certificate, etc. when they apply for a B. Ed course.

Note: students must have to bring original documents for verification. It will be returned to them immediately after verification. There is a 25% concession on the courses sought by a woman.

Eligibility Criteria: 

The eligibility criteria for PG courses:

• Students have to clear a bachelor’s degree for MA/ M. Com/ M. Sc./ MVA Degrees from a recognized institute.
• Also, for LLM, you need to qualify for LLB from a recognized institute.
• Students have to score 50% to 60% to get admission to PG courses.
• Some relaxation will be given to reserved candidates.
• Students can get admission according to the bachelor’s discipline.

Selection Criteria: 

The selection criteria for PG admission 2022:

• Students have to check the merit list for admission issued by the University for Enrolment.
•  They need to clear the entrance exam if required by the university.
• Students have to score at least 50% marks in the entrance exam.
• After clearing the entrance exam, students have to give a personal interview.
• After selection, students are called for documents verification for final admission to the PG program.
• Submit the fee to the University for pursuing the program.

 Cutoff:

• The cut-off for 2022 is still to be published. If the student's name is not on the 1st merit list, they can wait for the 2nd or 3rd merit list.
• The number of seats left after the admission of the previous list decides the number of intake or publication of the next list.

The eligibility criteria for students seeking the PhD program:

• Students have to obtain a post-graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized institute.
• Students have to score valid in the entrance exam i.e., at least 55% marks.
• If you hold a teaching fellowship for research from a national body then you are eligible for a doctorate level program.
• 5% relaxation is provided by the university to reserved candidates like SC/ ST/ OBC.
• Students who have cleared UGC NET/ SLET/ GATE are also eligible for the program at this university.

 Selection Criteria:

The selection criteria for PhD admission 2024:

• Students have to qualify for the entrance exam taken by Nalanda Open University.
• Students must have score at least the required score by Nalanda Open University.
• Candidates who have cleared UGC NET/ SLET/ GATE/ UGC- CSIR NET/ UGC JRF or M. Phil are provided by the exemption for entrance exam appearance.
• Also, if you hold a teacher fellowship for research from a national body then are provided with relaxation in the entrance exam.
