The institute of liver and biliary science (ILBS) has been established under the societies act by the government of national capital territory of Delhi; it is an autonomous institute which is dedicated to provide an international centre of excellence for management, diagnosis, advanced training and research for liver and biliary diseases. This institute is a deemed university under the UGC act and it also aspires to become a unique centre for modern education academic career for both national and international students.

The institute offers MSc (nursing) at postgraduate level and Post Doctoral Certificate Courses, Post Graduation Certificate Course, Doctorate of Medicine, Master of Chirurgiae and Diplomate of National Board at Postdoctoral level; it also awards Doctorate level research education to its students.

  • Eligibility- candidate requires a masters degree in mechanical sciences with specialisation in either of the subjects- biochemistry, life sciences, biotechnology, zoology, microbiology or a professional degree in MBBS masters degree in medical or dental sciences and Mtech, Mpharm MVSc or other degrees as declared equivalent to master’s degree by the statutory body. Candidates should also secure minimum 60% aggregate or its equivalent as per UGC rules

ILBS Admission Process

The admission process at ILBS Delhi is completely online; given below is the step by step process of entire application-

  • Candidate needs to download the application form from the official website of the institute.

  • Application fee rupees 5000 for pdcc courses rupees 2500 for pgcc courses and rupees 1000 for PhD and certificate courses needs to be noted.

Admission to ILBS is totally based on the merit scored by the candidates in the entrance exam as conducted by the institute. admission to PHD courses is a two-stage process where the entrance test is followed by an interview round and the ones who qualify both are only selected.

For admission in ILBS Delhi candidates need to obtain minimum qualifying percentage marks in NEET entrance examination for further admission process. candidates who belong to the reserved category of SC ST OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40 percent so that they are considered for AIQ and state counselling process. Candidates who belong to the unreserved category are required to obtain an equivalent marks of at least 50 percent in their need examination for further admission process.

ILBS Placements

ILBS Facilities

INFRASTRUCTURE– ILBS Delhi has a seven acre campus with 70 + faculty members and provides over 17 courses . ILBS is a global Centre With Excellent Services provided for liver diseases, diagnosis treatment and care for its patients. It has around 155 beds with progressive health care facilities, medical, surgical and critical care facilities. Nearly half of the beds are dedicated for ICU patients. ILBS is likely to have a second phase Which is operational from 2014 this is strongly dedicated with a multi storied research complex, guest house, auditorium, hepato-biliary oncology unit, additional beds and residential accommodation; it will provide improved medical care surgical treatment and research facilities. The institute is well equipped with ultra modern labs, medical equipment, operating suits, endoscopy suites, ambulance services and emergency services etc. The institute also has a well-established cafeteria for visitors and staff.

LIBRARY-ILBS has a well-equipped central library which contains relevant books and journals in the main building. In addition to the books and journals there are CDS, audio-visual facilities and other facilities in the library. The books are of latest editions containing all the speciality of its allied subjects. Online E-JOURNAL facilities are also available.
