For UG courses, students need to pass 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks. PG applicants need a bachelor's degree in the relevant field with 50-55% marks. PhD admission needs a master's degree with at least 55% marks and a valid national-level or university-level entrance qualification.

Sushant University PhD Admission 2026

Sushant University offers Ph.D. programmes in architecture, design, engineering, management, computer sciences, law and applied sciences. Full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes have a duration of 3 years, and the maximum period from registration cannot be more than 6 years.

Note- Students with an M.Phil. Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and a master’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned discipline are also eligible for Ph.D. admission.

Ph.D. admission requires students to meet the minimum eligibility rules, take the entrance examination, and appear before the SRC for an interview or presentation on their research interest after the entrance test.

Final Ph.D. selection is merit-based. The written test carries 50% weightage, and the presentation/interview carries the remaining 50%.

The entrance test has 2 papers. Paper I is Research Methodology, and Paper II is Subject Specific.
