Life at CUK Srinagar

What I Liked

I like the faculty and the teachers in my college. The deans and supervisor is pretty helpful and understand the students and help them out in case they do need help.
Around college, you will find some cafes and restaurants where you can dine and eat drinks and foods and discuss about your studies together. Such a fun and exciting places these are.

What I didn’t like

While the teachers are respectful, the students however don't respect them and always speak rude to them. Some students who don't take serious in their studies are present in the class too.

Placement Experience:

There are less recruiters seen in the college often hiring seniors when they are about to get their degree. The job career depends on how you work out your whole course. You are responsible for gaining skills and understanding where technology moves.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, The college offers internships and there are many other internships you can opt for on LinkedIn too. You learn by yourself and not from the college. You seek various platforms and gain experience so that you can get a job easily.

What I Liked

What I like about my campus was that there were chinar trees which looked absolutely stunning during the autumn.
The campus life was tolerable because I had my friends with me without whom I wouldn't have survived there for those two years.

What I didn’t like

What I didn't like about the University campus was the washrooms there were not kept hygienic.
The classroom during my final semester was not having sufficient fans which created problems during summers.

Placement Experience:

The University does have a placement cell but they are not conducting any placements as of now. We, the students have to arrange our internship right after our final semester examination on our own because the University doesn't help at all with our placement and internship .

Internships Opportunities:

I had to arrange for my internship on my own. So I did my research and everything and got myself into a bank nearby for my internship and project report. Also now I have found myself a job in an educational consultancy where I've been working for about 1.5 months now.

What I Liked

Honestly the infrastructure is no close to be called as a University premises.. I went to college only for my friends, because in terms of teaching and campus, it's just nothing

What I didn’t like

I disliked everything about it, there is nothing that I liked,the campus felt really gloomy, especially during winters, because there are numerous chinar trees which hardly makes the sunlight reach in our campus, and its cold like hell there

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell, but it's just useless. They do nothing for the students, right after our course we were told to find out institute for Internship, they did not even help us in Internship which is actually their responsibility

Internships Opportunities:

No, I found out internship on my own...As I said College adminstration did nothing.. They only helped me with the recommendation letter and besides that they have not helped me much..Even we are not assigned any mentor for the completion of our project

Experience at central university of Kashmir

What I Liked

Campus life is amazing you have beautiful balcony to rest,you have amazing park to sit and enjoy canteen is amazing
Faculty is amazing highly qualified faculty is available that is friendly with students

What I didn’t like

There is nothing to dislike but still I can say washrooms should be cleaned browsing center for different departments should be separate
There should be uninterrupted wife service available for students

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for the placement is meritorious students and students up to a percentage of 55 are eligible for placement different companies like HP, and Infosys and medical companies like Cipla approach placement.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, I have done an internship at the Biotechnology Division SKUAST k, different institutions are available for internships like IIIm Jammu THISTI NCBS PGI Chandigarh different tasks are given during the internship some to make some innovative things etc

What I Liked

Faculty, campus life really really enjoyed and had great mentorship
Can have fun as well as learnt a lot experience in a subject u like by writing thesis in Masters.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure needs to improve a little,its an ongoing project
For few students its a long journey if u avail bus.

Placement Experience:

The placement or package depends on what you want to be and where you want to go. You can be a data analyst, or financial analyst, pursue PhD go for research qualify NET will be eligible for Assistant professor, statistic

Internships Opportunities:

You can go to various institutions for summer school camps or internships, conferences any program you can apply for related to your subject. I went to Delhi and now trying to apply for a foreign conference.

What I Liked

We will know about more cultures from students coming from different regions. Also we can know about more languages.
The faculties here are more supportive.

What I didn’t like

Language will be a big problem. Difficult to communicate with Students
The university situated in to four campuses.

Placement Experience:

They do not preffer any placements and job opportunities. My plan after degree to pursue post graduation and phd. I want to research in this field. Most of the central university's do not gave any placements. But also they give scholarships etc.

What I Liked

I like the faculties .bcz they are students friendly.very helpfully.God teaching skill in
I like the syllabus .so we can easy to study and getting pass.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the infrastructure.bcx there is no permanent campus for us
I don't like the lab.its not such a good lab for masters

Placement Experience:

Here any placements available. Here only science programs , teacher education, physical education , somethings like that. ..so any place or job oppartunities is not available . Maybe in the next years will be offer any placements

Internships Opportunities:

Iam not actually opted for any internship. By the past years there is no internship or project programs. Bcz there is attendance issue . Teachers not willing to give the attendance.Bt the new hod and faculties are willing to that so projects and internship are started from this year

Best Institute for Master Degree in Chemistry

What I Liked

The college is in a peaceful environment.
The faculties of the university is helpful.

What I didn’t like

There is no hostel facility yet that should be made available as soon as possible.
The university library is not up to the mark.

Placement Experience:

There are not good opportunities for placements and jobs after doing this degree. In order to get a good placement or job you have to qualify any national level exam like GATE or CSIR NET/JRF. Usually no recruiter visits the university.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes I opted an internship in the same college. You can opt for internship outside this university. A good many of universities allow students of central university of Kashmir for internship. The projet I submitted was about the biodegradable polymers.

The best only central university in kashmir

What I Liked

Infrastructure is good and faculty is top notch
Campus though is away from city Centre but is in peaceful place

What I didn’t like

The college is far away from Srinagar city.
Most other campus is under construction or in temporary structures.

Placement Experience:

To be very honest the university do not offer placements except in few technical courses. Students themselves have to look for placemats. And my plans after degree is to prepare for Govt teacher recruitment till then to for in some reputed private school as a teacher.

Internships Opportunities:

I didn't opted for any internship though some students in other technical courses get the opportunity of internships in various organizations were learn as well as earn at the same time during university time.
