Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Srinagar started its journey in the year 1982 and since then, it has been providing some of the top courses in the field of Agriculture Sciences and Technology.

Currently, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, also referred to as SKUAST provides 7 Undergraduate courses, 19 Postgraduate courses and 7 Doctoral courses in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, E.V.S, Horticulture, Fisheries and other disciplines in the field of Sciences.

The admission to the SKUAST is done through an entrance test merit-based process. The SKUAST conducts University Entrance Test (UET) annually for admission in any of the courses offered by the University. A merit list consisting of names of candidates qualifying the cut-off in UET is released after which the selected candidates are eligible to appear for the admission process. For taking admission in Masters and Phd. Programs, the SKUAST University conducts an interview process based on which the candidates are selected.

Ans. Incase of tie, the admission to SKUAST is based on merit with respect to the marks scored in 10+2/graduation for various UG and PG programs. The older age of a candidate is also given preference incase of tie at above mentioned levels.
