Colledge life at SSM colledge of engineering and technology (Baramulla)

What I Liked

I like the facilities of labs to perform any experiment.
I like the teachers and the dean of our college they are supportive.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the gym facilities in my colledge
I don't like the uneven fields of my colledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

teachers are really helpful and good to student they help us in exams to prepare us well for final exams and also in classrooms.The difficulty of exams are very tough also this campus is known for its toughness in exams to pass and the pass percentage of exams in colledge is about 50 percent.

Placement Experience:

don't know because i got admission in 2024 and I don't have much knowledge about that what role they offered and all that I spent more than 2 months in colledge and the percentage of students getting placement i heard that is very very low.

What I Liked

College cafeteria, friend circle we had a lot of fun
Food in the college is good and the coffee was extremely good

What I didn’t like

The faculty isn't qualified well enough
The fee is alot as compared to the service the college provides

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching isn't that good . Okay okay teaching staff they aren't well qualified to do the job They don't put that much attention and don't actually help students individually which they should actually The teachers are mostly who graduated from the same college.

Placement Experience:

No placements are offered by the college and I started searching for jobs myself right after I graduated and I found a job as a Technical support at Pune Maharashtra that was very good experience and I learned so much during my tenure.

I chose i have the intrest in it but the overall other branch have more infrastructure and well teachers most in computer science and civil it will be good if you go through any of the two branches or bba

Linked with kashmir university and the transpoart facilaity and the well staff and education but mainly when you have exam kashmir universsty lags to give you that structure the probally give backlogs

This college has providing good placements for the students those are having 60% above CGPA with no backlogs and this college is offering highest package upto 6.5lakhs for students and some students also placed in 2-3 companies at a time

placement quality varies annually.On average,around 70-80%of students secure placements ,notably in courses like computer science and engineering(CSE),can reach around INR 10-15LPA.The average salary offered is approximately INR 4-6LPA.The placement process is generally manageable with college support

SSM college- Most beautiful and prestigious.

What I Liked

Infrastructure, events and campus life, the environment of college is soothing
The library of college is best to sit and read for hours.

What I didn’t like

The washrooms are not much functional, although the civil department has more clean washrooms
More drinking water facilities should be available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was much interested in engineering and this college made my dream come true. The teaching staff is well qualified and experienced. Teaching methods are very different and friendly. Online doubt classes and special classes during exams are also taken. Internal exams are taken mostly on time and are quite difficult. End term exams are conducted by University of Kashmir and are most probably held late. they are of medium level. Last year fee was hiked abruptly.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not common in our college.. only few job fests are held once a year or twice. Mostly the highest package is 1 lac per annum. My plans after degree will be to do internships so that I get more practical knowledge about my field.

Review of SSM college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course took more time to complete than actual deadline. Wasted around extra 6 months to get my degree. The college and parent Kashmir University was in constant conflict which directly impacted the students. Teachers were very inexperienced. Some of them were even recent pass outs.

Placement Experience:

There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no particular reason for choosing the course. I got the course by merit. In this college, the faculty-student ratio is 1:10. Faculty of the college are well qualified. The minimum qualification for the faculty is a master's degree. Teaching method is also good like 'teacher explaining on the board.

Placement Experience:

There are no jobs and placements offered in the college. Last year a few companies visited the college but the placements offered were very less. Students need to find jobs by themselves after completing the college. Students can either join any private company or prepare for other government jobs like JE, Public services, etc.
