Davangere University is in the state of Karnataka. It was established on August 18, 2009, by the Government of Karnataka, after the bifurcation of Kuvempu University.   • The candidates applying for M.Com. and MBA courses should have an aggregate score of 45% and 50% respectively.
  • The eligibility criteria for admission in the M.Music and M.Dance program are Bachelor’s degrees in the respective field with an aggregate score of 50% (SC & ST students 45%).

Selection Criteria:

  • MBA aspirants should also have appeared in the PGCET examination. 
  • The selection is based on the merit achieved in the previous degree and the marks obtained in the entrance exams. 50% marks of degree and 50% marks of the entrance examination are considered.

  • Apart from the reservation for certain castes, 5% of seats are reserved for the Kannada medium students.

Eligibility Criteria: 

The candidates should have a Master’s degree in the relevant field with an aggregate percentage of 55% for admission in the M.Phil and Ph.D. programs.

Selection Criteria:

  • The selection is based on the merit achieved in the previous degree and the marks obtained in the entrance exams.
  • The duration of M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses are a minimum of 1 and 2 years respectively. 
  • The university conducts the entrance test in offline mode. A special advantage is given to the candidates who have passed NET/UGC-CSIR or JRF and Project fellows as they do not have to appear for the entrance examination.
