Karnataka Veterinary, Animal, and Fisheries Sciences University is one of India's prime co-educational facilities. The primary departments include Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Veterinary care, and Animal and Dairy Farming.

Placement opportunities are offered after the completion of the Master's program. Many large multinational companies visit the university on placement drives. The salary range offered to the selected professionals ranges from 4,00,000-8,00,000 INR. The other opportunity offered to the students after qualifying for the Master's program is the scope to engage in Post-doctoral studies and conduct in-house research.
