Jiwaji University uses MP Online for admission and counselling. For the 2026-27 cycle, CUET PG counselling and merit-based seat allotment for Schools of Studies are still active, while UG affiliated college admissions are being handled through MP State Counselling and MP Online.

Jiwaji University keeps 50% seats in Schools of Studies PG programmes for CUET PG qualified students and fills the remaining 50% through direct merit for non-CUET applicants. The university publishes entrance test syllabi for each SoS programme on its website. Applications and counselling for Jiwaji department programmes are handled only through the MP Online portal.

Jiwaji University Courses and Fees

Jiwaji University offers UG, PG, and doctoral courses through 26 Schools of Studies on its campus. More than 420 affiliated colleges offer arts, science, commerce, law, education, technical, and professional courses under the university. Hostel charges at the university are up to INR 49,600 per year for boys and girls hostels. BA, BCom, BCA, and BBA on the campus mostly cost below INR 20,000 in total. Professional courses such as BPharm, BPT, and BMLT cost between INR 50,000 and INR 80,000, as fixed by the university fee committee.

Jiwaji University Admission Process

Jiwaji University admissions are completed through MP Online for its own-campus Schools of Studies and through MP State Counselling for affiliated college UG admissions. The 2026-27 application window ended on September 15, 2026.

Undergraduate Admissions (BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA, and affiliated programmes)

For Jiwaji University own-campus UG programmes, 50% of seats accept CUET UG 2026 scores and the other 50% are allotted through Class 12 merit. UG admissions in affiliated colleges are conducted through MP State Counselling.

PG Admissions (MA, MCom, MSc, MBA, MCA, MJMC, and SoS programmes)

PG seats in the Schools of Studies follow two routes. 50% CUET PG seats are for students who qualified NTA CUET PG 2026, and 50% non-CUET seats are filled through graduation merit and/or the university entrance test. CUET PG 2026 results were declared in July 2026, and counselling is in progress from September to October 2026.

Professional Programme Admissions

• BPharm / DPharm: Students need 10+2 PCB with at least 50% aggregate. Selection is through the university entrance test and MP Pharmacy counselling.
• MPharm: Applicants must have BPharm with at least 55% aggregate. GPAT score is preferred for NRI/management quota seats.
• BPT: Students need 10+2 PCB with 50% aggregate. Merit is based on the university entrance test or NEET score.
• BMLT: Applicants need 10+2 PCB with 50% aggregate. Admission is directly merit based through the university.
• BE: Students must have 10+2 PCM with at least 45% aggregate. JEE Main scores or the university entrance test are used.
• MTech: Applicants need BE/BTech in a relevant branch with 55% aggregate. GATE score is preferred for merit allotment.

Law, Management, and Other Professional Programmes

• BALLB: Students need 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate. Admission is through CLAT score or direct merit for this 5-year integrated course.
• LLM: Applicants must have LLB with 55% aggregate and clear the university entrance test.
• MBA: Any graduation degree with 50% aggregate is required. CAT, CMAT, MAT, and university entrance test scores are accepted.
• MCA: Students from BSc, BCA, BCom, or BBA with Mathematics can apply through NIMCET or the university entrance test.

PhD Admissions

PhD admission is held through a separate entrance test as per UGC Regulations 2022. Students with NET, JRF, or GATE in the relevant subject do not need to take the written test. PhD fees are INR 15,100 to INR 18,720 per year.

Jiwaji University Placements

NIRF 2025 data shows that Jiwaji University placed 497 out of 1,228 students in the 2024 placement season. The placement rate was 40.55%. The PG 2-year median salary stood at INR 3.4 LPA, while UG graduates received a median salary of INR 2.4 LPA. These numbers are for the university's own-campus Schools of Studies and do not include affiliated college placements.

Pharmacy, biotechnology, and management have the strongest placement activity at Jiwaji University. Recruiters include Lupin Pharma, IPCA, Abbott India, Cipla, Emcure, Glenmark Pharma, Alchemist, Bank of India, Asian Paints, Johnson and Johnson, TCS, Wipro, HDFC Bank, and JP Morgan. BPharm and MPharm students mostly join pharmaceutical companies in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. MBA and BBA graduates are placed in banking, FMCG, and manufacturing firms. MSc Biotechnology and Life Sciences students get roles in research institutes, CROs, and pharma companies, while BE and MTech students are placed in IT services and local manufacturing sectors.

The placement cell at the Gwalior campus conducts career fairs, pre-placement training, and industry interaction programmes. Jiwaji University Rankings

Jiwaji University Scholarships

Students enrolled in Jiwaji University's Schools of Studies can apply for government scholarships and university merit concessions. Students of affiliated colleges can also use central government schemes through MP Online.

Students should submit scholarship forms on the National Scholarship Portal and MP Scholarship Portal before the yearly deadline, which is typically between October and December. Since many Jiwaji SoS and affiliated college programmes cost below INR 30,000 in total, government scholarship support can cover most costs for eligible SC/ST/OBC students.

Jiwaji University Campus and Infrastructure

Jiwaji University's Gwalior campus is spread across 225 acres. It houses 26 Schools of Studies in Science, Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Law, Management, Pharmacy, Engineering, Education, Library Science, Physical Education, and Journalism.
