The Life At NLUO

What I Liked

I love the library of the college, along with the various facilities like canteens, stationary, gym etc.
Secondly the wifi facilities provided by the college are also nice.

What I didn’t like

I don't dislike anything as such but I think the sports infrastructure can be improved a little bit.
Similarly, the hostels and classrooms infrastructure can also be improved to certain extent.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are pretty good. The reputed companies like Indus Law, Trilegal and Khaitan visit the campus each year to recruit the students. The average package is around 10 lakhs per annum. The highest is around 25 lakhs per annum.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are also pretty nice. There is an internship committee that helps students to get internship in each semester. Moreover 2 months break is given at the end of each semester for internship purposes.

What I Liked

The best thing about my college is campus
the second-best thing which is life is the faculties which are highly qualified and are very helpful.

What I didn’t like

The thing which I dislike is that the administration is not much student friendly.
Another thing which I dislike is that the campus timings are little restrictive as we cannot enter campus after 10 p.m

Placement Experience:

There are various placement opportunities various law firms, in House companies and banks. The students in 5th Year are eligible for placement opportunities. Last year in 2024, 45 offers were made to the students out of 60. Th recruiters include ICICI Bank, Khaitan and Co, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Saraf and Partners and Indus law.

Internships Opportunities:

The college provide various internship opportunities to students. The stipend ranges from Rs. 10000 to Rs. 20000. The work involves working on due diligence report, shareholders agreement, preparing draft of litigation, drafting writ petitions etc.

What I Liked

The campus is quite lively. The college does not sleep and there is always some kind of activities happening in the college.
The infrastructure is decent with wifi all over the campus and centralised ac except for hostels and gym.

What I didn’t like

The hostel rooms do not have AC. It becomes unbearable to survive in the scorching heat of Cuttack.
The faculty though well qualified but sometimes their instability becomes a problem.

Placement Experience:

The Placement statistics for 2023 were quite impressive. Out of 80 students who participated in the recruitment process 71 were placed. The highest package was 18 lakhs and 11.7 lakhs was the average package. The top recruiters with Indus Law, Trilegal, Luthra & Luthra, SAM, Saraf & Partners. Last year the percentage of students getting placed was 88.75%.

Internships Opportunities:

After every semester you get 2 months of internship break. Either you get an internship on your own by applying or you can also get an internship through an internship committee. The College has a very active Internship Committee which frequently sends notifications of internship opportunities. The role of the intern generally includes legal research, drafting, and court visits.

My mixed opinion on my college.

What I Liked

Campus life along with beautiful sunset what makes a complete
The library which has an excellent facility for books for a people welding for people with disabilities is one spot where I could my go to spot.

What I didn’t like

The degrading quality of faculties along with their teaching experience
Reluctant administration towards the students

Placement Experience:

Placements and internship at n l u r handled by RCC at internship committee both have been forming exceptionally well in the room filled we have had placements we have had humungous placement in the last 3 years with people Arpita aluminium reaching the levels of partners and senior partners at reputed top law home

Internships Opportunities:

The internships for students are catered by the internship committee. I have secured a couple of internships at law firms through the committee as well as many other people have secured internships. The internship committee contacted various video law firms and NGOs and additionally secured slots for this student.
