Likes
- The campus is quite lively. The college does not sleep and there is always some kind of activities happening in the college.
- The infrastructure is decent with wifi all over the campus and centralised ac except for hostels and gym.
Dislikes
- The hostel rooms do not have AC. It becomes unbearable to survive in the scorching heat of Cuttack.
- The faculty though well qualified but sometimes their instability becomes a problem.
Remarks :
To get into NLUO, one has to write an all-India exam CLAT. A minimum rank of 1200 is required to get into this college. The exam has 5 sections namely English, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, GK and Current Affairs, and Quantitative Aptitude.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well-updated according to the needs of the legal industry. The faculty is experienced and highly qualified and does not stick to only bookish methods of teaching. The faculty is also available for consultation after college hours. The college takes only one end-semester exam of 100 marks per semester. 70 marks are for theory and 30 marks are for project and viva. A minimum of 49.5 marks is required to pass every subject. The college increases its fees after every 5 years, last time it increased its fees was in 2023. The college also provides scholarships for economically backward students.
Internships Opportunities :
After every semester you get 2 months of internship break. Either you get an internship on your own by applying or you can also get an internship through an internship committee. The College has a very active Internship Committee which frequently sends notifications of internship opportunities. The role of the intern generally includes legal research, drafting, and court visits.
Placement Experience :
The Placement statistics for 2023 were quite impressive. Out of 80 students who participated in the recruitment process 71 were placed. The highest package was 18 lakhs and 11.7 lakhs was the average package. The top recruiters with Indus Law, Trilegal, Luthra & Luthra, SAM, Saraf & Partners. Last year the percentage of students getting placed was 88.75%.
Campus Life :
The college conducts its 2 mega fests Kairaan (cultural fest) and Viraj (sports fest) in March every year. The College has one gym, one football ground, one cricket ground, one sports complex, and one indoor sports room. The college has many student-run centers and committees of which the students can be a part. The College has its on-campus hostel with mess. The hostel rooms are available in enough quantity to accommodate every student. The mess food is quite decent and the food costs around 18k per semester.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
