MJRPU Admission Dates 2027

The admission schedule for the 2027-28 session is expected to begin in early 2027, with classes starting in August 2027. Applicants move through four stages: an online application, an admission assessment, a personal interview, and final selection.

The 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to open from February 2027 onwards. CUET UG registration generally begins in February, and the examination is usually conducted in May.

MJRPU Courses and Fees

More than 52 programmes are available in engineering, management, law, pharmacy, allied health, agriculture, arts, commerce, science, education, and design. The table presents 2025 total programme fees along with course duration and entry requirements.

Tuition fees do not include accommodation. The Boys Hostel fee is up to INR 85,000 per year. Depending on the room selected, the Girls Hostel costs between INR 75,000 and INR 95,000 per year.

MJRPU Admission Process

Admission to MJRPU generally involves an online form, the university's admission assessment, an interview, and a final decision by the selection committee. Depending on the programme, scores from JEE Main, CUET UG, CAT, CLAT, or GATE may be considered instead of or together with the MJRPU assessment.

B.Tech and M.Tech

Applicants for B.Tech must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and secured at least 45% in aggregate. Selection considers a JEE Main score, CUET UG score, or performance in the MJRPU Admission Assessment, followed by a personal interview.

• Stage 1: Complete the online form and upload the mark sheet and a valid national entrance score, where applicable.
• Stage 2: Take the MJRPU Admission Assessment if no national-level score is available.
• Stage 3: Attend the personal interview and complete document verification.
• Stage 4: Confirm admission by paying the required fee.

For M.Tech, applicants need a B.Tech or BE degree with a minimum score of 55%. Preference is given to candidates with a valid GATE score, while others may take the MJRPU PG Entrance Test. Diploma holders can also enter B.Tech through the 3-year lateral entry route, which has a total fee of INR 2,43,000.

MBA and Management Programmes

Graduates from any discipline at a recognised university may apply for the MBA. MJRPU considers CAT, MAT, and CMAT scores as well as its own Management Aptitude Test. Admission to BBA and BBA Tourism requires a 10+2 pass in any stream.

• Stage 1: Apply with the graduation mark sheet and a national test score, if available.
• Stage 2: Participate in the group discussion and personal interview conducted by MJRPU.
• Stage 3: Receive the merit-based decision and complete admission confirmation.

The 2-year MBA in Hospital Management accepts graduates from science, nursing, pharmacy, or management backgrounds. Its total fee is INR 2,00,000.

Integrated Law Programmes

Students who have passed 10+2 in any stream can seek admission to the 5-year BALLB, BBALLB, and B.Sc LLB courses. Selection is based on CLAT or the MJRPU Law Aptitude Test. The 3-year LLB requires a bachelor's degree with at least 45%. The Bar Council of India (BCI) approves all law programmes at the university.

General category applicants at MJRPU typically fall within the 50 to 65 percentile range in CLAT, which reflects the wider intake followed by a private university.

Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, and Agriculture

For B.Pharm, students need 10+2 with PCB or PCM and at least 45%. Admission is offered through CUET UG or the MJRPU Admission Test. The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approves this programme.

The BPT entry requirement is 10+2 with PCB and a minimum of 45%, while MPT applicants must hold a BPT degree. B.Sc (Agriculture) Hons. accepts students with PCB or PCM at 10+2 level. Admission to an M.Sc agriculture specialisation requires a B.Sc Agriculture degree.

Admission to BA, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Sc, B.Des, and BVA is based on 10+2 merit or CUET UG scores. Applicants for MA, M.Com, MCA, and M.Sc need the relevant undergraduate degree with 50% in aggregate and are assessed through the MJRPU PG Entrance Test.

MJRPU Placements

The central placement cell organises campus recruitment every year. In 2024, a B.Tech CSE graduate received the season's highest package of INR 20 LPA. The placed group recorded an average package of INR 3.5 LPA, while B.Tech CSE students generally received average offers between INR 4.5 LPA and INR 6 LPA. Across all programmes, the placement rate was 70%.

More than 150 companies made offers to over 500 students during the 2024 drive. A Mega Job Fair was also held in February 2025, with recruiters from IT, banking, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals. Banking and financial services companies hired MBA Finance and HR graduates. Pharmaceutical employers in Rajasthan and the NCR region recruited B.Pharm students.

CSE and IT account for most placements in the technology sector. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering graduates have obtained manufacturing and core engineering positions across Rajasthan. Graduates from the law programmes have entered legal firms and corporate legal departments in Jaipur and Delhi NCR.

MJRPU Rankings

MJRPU takes part in the National Institutional Ranking Framework managed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It secured the 775th position among Indian universities in the NIRF University Ranking 2025. The university also holds NAAC Grade B, based on its performance in areas such as teaching, research, infrastructure, and governance.

MJRPU Campus and Infrastructure

The university operates from two locations in Jaipur. The Ram Nagar Extension campus in Sodala contains the central administration building, main library, and the arts, commerce, science, law, and management departments. Engineering, pharmacy, and allied health science programmes are based at the Kant Kalwar campus in the RIICO Industrial Area.

Facilities include digital classrooms, seminar halls, a central library with printed and electronic material, engineering laboratories, pharmacy laboratories, and a clinical psychology centre. Agriculture students have access to agri-science laboratories and crop research plots. The university's active NSS units organise community outreach camps across Jaipur. Its 9th Convocation took place in 2025, after more than 16 years of academic operations.

Both male and female students can use on-campus accommodation. The Boys Hostel costs up to INR 85,000 per year. Fees for the Girls Hostel range from INR 75,000 to INR 95,000 per year, based on the room type. A significant proportion of resident students come from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

MJRPU vs Poornima University vs Jaipur National University

MJRPU, Poornima University, and Jaipur National University are private multidisciplinary institutions in Jaipur. Their applicant groups mainly come from Rajasthan and nearby states. All three offer overlapping choices in engineering, management, and professional education at comparable fee levels.

MJRPU provides wider choices in law, pharmacy, agriculture, and psychology-related fields. Its law and pharmacy courses carry BCI and PCI approval, respectively. Poornima University places greater emphasis on engineering and design, while Jaipur National University has a larger programme count that includes medical allied sciences. The three institutions serve the same regional student base and follow similar fee ranges.
