IPMX Admission Dates 2027

IPMX applications are accepted in 3 phases. A candidate not shortlisted for WAT and PI in Phase 1 or Phase 2 may apply in the next phase with a better GMAT or GRE score, if the eligibility rules and deadline are met.

IIM Lucknow PG Admission 2027

IIM Lucknow MBA Admission 2027

IIM Lucknow will use CAT 2026 for admission to MBA and MBA-ABM, followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final review considers CAT performance, academic record, work experience, diversity factors, WAT and PI. For the 2027-29 batch, the expected intake is similar to the 2026 combined PGP and PGP-ABM batch size of 559 students.

The 2027-29 admission policy has not been released yet. The eligibility and selection details below use the latest available 2026-28 policy as reference.

MBA Eligibility Criteria 2027

• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwD candidates need 45%.
• Final-year bachelor's degree students and applicants waiting for results may apply, but they must complete the degree requirements within the given deadline.
• If a university awards grades or CGPA, the percentage will be worked out through that university or institution's conversion rule.
  • If no conversion rule is given, the CGPA may be converted through the prescribed equivalence method.

MBA-ABM Eligibility Criteria 2027

Applicants can meet MBA-ABM eligibility through one of these routes.

Agriculture/Allied Degree: A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or an allied subject with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwD candidates need 45%.

Other Bachelor's Degree

• A bachelor's degree in another subject with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwD candidates need 45%.
• At least 2 years of work experience or a strong interest in Agriculture or allied sectors.
• The prescribed PGP-ABM Special Form must be submitted at the interview.
• The degree must include at least 3 years of study after 10+2 or equivalent.

IIM Lucknow MBA Admission Process 2027

MBA and MBA-ABM admission is expected to move through the same order of steps.

The details below come from the 2026-28 policy and may change for the 2027-29 batch.

Stage 1: Shortlisting for WAT-PI

Only applicants who meet the required sectional and overall CAT 2026 percentiles for their category will be considered for the WAT-PI shortlist. For General category in the latest available policy, the minimum CAT cutoff was 90 overall and 85 sectional. The composite score uses the components shown below.

* For MBA-ABM, the total marks for diversity factors DFa and DFb cannot be more than 20.

Final Selection

After WAT-PI, the latest policy calculated the final score using entrance-test performance, academics, profile factors and interview performance. PI carried the highest weightage at 40%.

Note: Under the latest policy, candidates need at least 12 marks out of 40 in the Personal Interview to be included in the final merit list.

How to Apply for MBA at IIM Lucknow?

• Register for CAT 2026 at iimcat.ac.in within the registration period.
• Take CAT 2026 in the selected test city.
• After CAT results are announced, fill the IIM Lucknow PGP or PGP-ABM programme preference form through iiml.ac.in.
• If shortlisted, appear for WAT-PI at an IIM Lucknow centre. Past centres include Bengaluru, Mumbai, Noida and Lucknow.
• Check the merit list on iiml.ac.in and accept the offer within the given time.
• Pay the seat deposit to confirm admission.

IIM Lucknow IPMX Admission 2027

IIM Lucknow has opened admission for the 2027-28 batch of the International Program in Management for Executives (IPMX). IPMX is a 1-year residential MBA programme at the Noida Campus. Selection depends on a valid GMAT/GRE score, academic and professional profile, WAT and PI. The 2026-27 batch had 104 participants and an average work experience of 8 years.

IPMX Eligibility Criteria 2027

• A bachelor's degree in any discipline with 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 years of formal education and at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• CGPA is converted by the university's formula. If the formula is not available, IIM Lucknow uses (CGPA / maximum CGPA) * 100.
• GMAT/GRE: The score must be valid on the last date of application. Applicants must submit the Official Score Card or Test Taker copy and report the score to IIM Lucknow.
  • Only test-centre-based GMAT/GRE scores are accepted. Online or take-home scores are not valid.
• Applicants need at least 4 years of full-time regular post-qualification work experience after graduation as on March 31, 2027.

IIM Lucknow IPMX Admission Process 2027

The IPMX process includes these steps.

• Online application

Applicants must upload the required documents and give details of two recommenders. The referees must submit their recommendation letters online within the application deadline.

IIM Lucknow uses the GMAT or GRE score to shortlist candidates for WAT and PI. The institute does not announce a fixed minimum GMAT/GRE score beforehand. The score is one evaluation factor, and the shortlisting cutoff is decided by the institute. Admission offers are based on the final selection score.

IPMX Selection Criteria 2027

For the IPMX 2027-28 batch, four components are used to calculate the final selection score.

The final offer is made after the candidate is evaluated across these components.

IPMX Application Fee 2027

To complete the IPMX application, candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 5,000. Once submitted, the application cannot be changed, so candidates should check all details and uploaded documents before final submission.

How to Apply for IPMX at IIM Lucknow?

• Take GMAT or GRE at an authorised test centre. Only test-centre-based scores are accepted.
• Submit the online IPMX application at iiml.ac.in before the Phase 1, Phase 2 or Phase 3 deadline.
• Upload transcripts, work experience letters and Statement of Purpose.
• If shortlisted, attend WAT and PI at the IIM Lucknow Noida campus or another designated centre.
• Accept the offer and pay the programme fees and deposits.

IIM Lucknow EFPM Admission 2027

IIM Lucknow offers the Executive Fellow Program in Management (EFPM) as a part-time, non-residential doctoral programme. It is meant for working executives, managers, faculty members and researchers.

IIM Lucknow EFPM Eligibility 2027

Applicants must have completed 10+2+(3 or 4) years of formal education. The academic requirement changes with the applicant's educational background and category.

Other eligibility requirements:

• The applicant must be currently employed in a full-time job.
• At least 7 years of work experience is required as of March 31 of the admission year.
• The maximum age allowed is 55 years as of March 31 of the admission year.

IIM Lucknow EFPM Qualifying Exams 2027

EFPM applicants can qualify through any one accepted test or score, subject to validity rules.

IIM Lucknow EFPM Selection Process 2027

EFPM selection has three main stages.

• Application: Candidates submit the form with documents proving academic and professional qualifications.
• Area Selection & Shortlisting: Applicants may choose up to two academic areas. Area-level committees check the applications and shortlist candidates.
• Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend PI at the IIM Lucknow Lucknow or Noida Campus.

The final decision is based on PI performance along with the candidate's academic and professional profile.

IIM Lucknow EFPM First-Year Exemption

Candidates can be considered for first-year exemption if they meet extra requirements. The latest criteria require the following.

• A 2-year MBA/PGDM or equivalent with at least 60% marks or 6 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
• Graduation from an institution that meets the listed NIRF or international accreditation criteria.
• Approval from the interview panel.

Meeting the minimum conditions does not assure exemption from the first year. The interview panel makes the final decision.

How to Apply for FPM at IIM Lucknow?

• Keep a valid qualifying test score from CAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT, JRF or SRF. The score must not be more than two years old at the time of application.
• Check iiml.ac.in for the FPM 2027 application notice, expected in late 2026.
• Submit the online form at iiml.ac.in with academic transcripts, qualifying test scorecard and research statement.
• If shortlisted, attend RAT and PI at the IIM Lucknow campus in Lucknow.

IIM Lucknow Admission vs IIM Calcutta

Both programmes broadly follow the CAT shortlist, WAT and PI route. Their differences lie in CAT cutoff levels, work-experience weightage and fee structure. Candidates should check the full selection criteria instead of judging admission chances only by the qualifying CAT cutoff.

IIM Lucknow Scholarships 2027

IIM Lucknow provides need-based and merit-cum-means financial support to PGP and PGP-ABM students. It also helps students access government scholarship schemes.

• Need-based financial aid: PGP students can apply for need-based support through the student welfare office. The application window usually opens soon after the programme starts.
• Government SC and ST scholarship: Eligible SC and ST students can apply for the Post Matric Scholarship from the Ministry of Social Justice. It covers part of tuition and living costs.
• Bank loan tie-ups: IIM Lucknow has helped enrolled students get education loans from selected public sector banks on preferential terms. Details are shared during admission.
• FPM stipend: FPM scholars receive INR 35,000 per month in Years 1 to 2 and INR 40,000 per month from Year 3. This is separate from any external scholarship.
