DRIEMS University Courses and Fees

More than 50 diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are taught through the university's 11 schools. MBBS has the highest total fee at INR 45.40 Lakhs for 5.5 years. Four-year B.Tech fees vary by specialisation and range from INR 4.60 Lakhs to INR 9.97 Lakhs.

The ten M.Tech options are AI and ML, CSE, Data Science, Construction Technology, Electrical Energy Systems, Electrical Power System, Electronics and Telecom, Mechanical System Design, Structural Engineering and Transportation Engineering.

DRIEMS University Admission Process

Admission rules differ by programme. Medical and several healthcare courses use NEET-UG or state counselling, while engineering applicants may qualify through JEE Main or OJEE. Management, computer applications and M.Tech programmes accept their respective national or state entrance scores. Some courses also provide merit-based or direct admission channels.

MBBS Admission

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have a valid NEET-UG score. They also need a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the 10+2 level. DMET Odisha, or the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, assigns private medical college seats according to NEET rank.

2. Enter the preferred colleges and courses during choice filling.
3. Check the merit-based seat allotment result.
4. Report to DRIEMS University for document verification and payment of fees.

B.Tech Admission

A B.Tech applicant needs at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 from a recognised board. Selection is made using an OJEE rank or JEE Main score.

Diploma holders can enter the three-year B.Tech Lateral Entry programme through the OJEE Lateral channel. Their diploma must be in a relevant engineering discipline, with at least 45% marks.

Pharmacy and Nursing Admission

For B.Pharm, students must have studied PCB or PCM in 10+2 and secured at least 45%. OJEE Pharmacy or qualifying-exam merit is used for selection. B.Sc Nursing requires a NEET-UG score and at least 45% in 10+2 PCB. Admission takes place through INC-approved state nursing counselling. GNM and ANM seats are allotted on merit through the DMET Odisha nursing counselling process.

MBA and MCA Admission

MBA admission requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50%. Applicants may submit a CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or OJEE-MBA score. For MCA, the accepted qualifications are BCA, BSc in Computer Science, BSc in IT, or a BSc that included Mathematics. Applicants need at least 55% at graduation and may enter through OJEE-MCA or direct counselling.

DRIEMS University B.Tech Cutoff

Earlier OJEE counselling cycles show that the closing rank depends on the engineering branch and counselling round. CSE-related options generally close at more competitive ranks than the core engineering branches.

DRIEMS University Placements

Students from Engineering, Management and Allied Health programmes take part in placement activities organised by the university. For the 2024-25 placement cycle, the highest reported offer was INR 16 LPA. DRIEMS University also reports more than 25,000 cumulative job offers from over 300 companies across different placement seasons.

The placement cell arranges campus recruitment drives for B.Tech and MBA students. Recruiters represent IT, manufacturing, healthcare and logistics, among other fields.

DRIEMS University Campus and Infrastructure

The 150-acre university campus is located at Tangi, Kataka, 15 km from central Cuttack. Within its green-belt setting, the site brings together the university hospital, multi-specialty services, engineering laboratories and clinical training facilities.

MBBS students receive clinical instruction through the Institute of Health Sciences and Hospital. Engineering students use computer laboratories and workshops, while B.Pharm learners have pharmacy laboratories and nursing students train in simulation labs. The Fashion Design school has its own studios, and Hotel Management students practise in dedicated training kitchens. Student enterprise projects receive support through an MSME-registered innovation and incubation facility.

DRIEMS University vs Centurion University vs GIET University

DRIEMS University, Centurion University and GIET University in Gunupur are private state universities in Odisha. All three teach engineering, management and science subjects, but their locations, accreditation and main courses differ.

Only DRIEMS University among these three offers MBBS along with engineering and management courses. Centurion University has a NAAC A+ grade and gives particular attention to vocational and skill-based study through its B.Voc framework. GIET University is an established engineering option serving Odisha's Rayagada region.
