Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) released the schedule for Phase 2 Ph.D Admissions, the entrance examination will be conducted online on November 17, 2024 from 11:30 AM IST to 1 PM IST. The admit cards will be available on the University portal.

The Ph.D Entrance Examination will be conducted in the following three Centres:

1. Rourkela Institute of Management Studies, Chhend, Rourkela.
2. Centre for IT & Management Education, Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar.
3. Gandhi Academy of Technology and Engineering, Golanthara, Behrampur

BPUT PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must have a Master’s degree in the concerned field from a recognized university with a minimum academic score of 6.5 CGPA or 60% aggregate marks.
• Candidates including QIP/FIP / NDF scholars/ UGC-NET JRF/CSIR NET JRF/GATE and equivalent fellowship may pursue PhD on full time basis.
• In-service candidates having a minimum of one year of professional experience after their PG Degree/ or from among the regular faculty members working in any Private College/Govt. R&D Organization / UGC-recognized University or research staff of public / private organizations / corporate executive shall be eligible to pursue Ph.D. research on a part-time basis.
• Candidates with MBA and MCA Degrees obtained through distance learning from UGC/DEC approved institutions may be allowed to enroll for Ph.D.

Note: A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade In Master’s degree is allowed for SC/ST/ Differently-Abled candidates.
