VSSUT Burla is a prestigious university established in 1956. It is UGC-recognized, and NAAC accredits it with a "B" grade. For the year 2024, NIRF ranked the university #151 out of 300 in the ‘Engineering’ category.
VSSUT Burla offers B.Tech as its flagship program. The fee for B.Tech is INR 4.09 lakhs. The eligibility criteria for the program is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 in PCM with 50% marks. The selection process for admission is based on marks and ranks secured by candidates in the JEE Main examination. The JEE Main cutoff 2024 for VSSUT Burla is yet to be released.
VSSUT Burla also offers an M.Tech program to its students. The fee for M.Tech is INR 4.09 lakhs. The eligibility criteria for the program is that the candidate must have have B.E or B.Tech degree with 60% marks. The selection process for admission is based on the scores obtained in GATE.
VSSUT Burla offers various scholarships such as the Nehru Memorial Scholarship, the National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies, the AICTE – Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students, the NEC Merit Scholarship, and many more.
VSSUT Burla Placement 2024 for the academic year 2024 received the highest package of INR 20 LPA and an average package of INR 6.42 LPA. Course Curriculum Overview:
Faculties are very experienced many of them are from IITS and some of them are from IISC so they know the curriculum how studies are done in IITs so they teach us like that faculties helps students many event out side india. Academics is very good as odisha's first university our college got many experienced faculties. Many known alumini from provide service in big department of india .
Placement Experience:
Placement and job opportunities are very high in this college big companies like TATA JSW Maruti Suzuki Accenture this year amazon also comes here for placement,like 80-85% students gets their placement rest of them are go for higher studies. In our department electronics and telecommunication out of 160 students 90 students gets their placement in big companies. Average package is 7-8 lakhs per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:
i am pursuing electrical and electronics engineering in vssut. i got it through the ojee counselling. the faculties are well qualified, most of the faculty members have done btech , mtech and phd from prestigious colleges like iit's, nit's. a student can freely ask his/her doubts to the faculty members without fear as they are very supportive and friendly. they also help us to perform good in academic field.
Placement Experience:
there is not any specific eligibility criteria given by college. the companies have some eligibilities to sit in placement. for software companies like kfintech, delliote, tech mahindra, infosys , tcs recruits a large number of students. for core companies like aditya birla, vedanta, jsw, tata power, tata electronics, maruti suzuki, archellor mittal recruits a large number of students from branches like electrical, mechanical, chemical etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The University is blessed with excellent professors and teaching staffs qualified from top institution of India like IITs and NITs having enormous amount of knowledge and experience. The term exams are conducted in the duration of four months . In between term examination there is mid term examination and some laboratory exams are also conducted whose performance actively contribute to the overall CGPA of the student.
Placement Experience:
It has strong placement record in core branches since the past years and it's record are changing positively over the years. Despite it's remote location some top companies and industries are attracted towards the performance and skills of the students of our institution like Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Jindal, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was chosen the college due to my rank in jee mains , but I am also little intersted in the mechanical branch. The faculties are highly qualified, they have completed their post graduation and Phd from various IIT and NIT. There are 2 semesters in a year and 2 mid semesters. There are also class test, online and offline quiz taking place which are included during final evaluation of cgpa.
Placement Experience:
The college is famous for its placement in core branches. If you are looking for a software branch having high placement you would not be that satisfied. Various companies such as Tata, infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft. The highest package was 43 lpa given to a ETC student by amazon and average package was 5 lakh last year. 95% students got placed. I have decided to prepare for Gate Exam as the average package if mechanical branch is only 3 lakh.
