CSMU Admission Dates 2026

CSMU admissions are open for the 2026-27 academic session. Applications are accepted online at admissions.csmu.ac.in. The university uses CUET UG, JEE Main, MHT-CET, and course-specific entrance tests for different programmes. Students can also contact the enquiry helpline at 8447733259.

CSMU Courses and Fees

CSMU offers more than 200 UG, PG, doctoral, and diploma programmes through its six faculties. Its courses cover Engineering, Technology, Commerce, Management, Hospitality, Law, Pharmacy, Science, Arts, Design, Fine Arts, and Social Work. The fees below are total programme fees for the General category.

B.Tech at CSMU includes newer areas such as AI and ML, Robotics and AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, and Cyber Security, along with core branches. The Law faculty covers BALLB, BBALLB, LLB, and LLM. B.Sc Clinical Psychology Hons and MA Clinical Psychology are professional specialisations with higher fee structures.

CSMU Admission Process

Admission at CSMU depends on the course selected. The university accepts national, state-level, and its own entrance tests. Students must apply online, meet the minimum eligibility rules, appear for the required exam or selection round, complete document verification, and pay the fee to confirm admission.

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech is offered in 12 specialisations. Selection is based on JEE Main, MHT-CET, CUET UG, or CSMU Entrance Exam scores.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with at least 45% in PCM
• Accepted exams: JEE Main / MHT-CET / CUET UG / CSMU CET
• Selection: entrance score merit list, document verification, and fee payment for seat confirmation
• Lateral entry: Engineering diploma holders with 45% in Diploma can apply directly for Year 2

MBA Admission

CSMU offers MBA in 9 specialisations. CAT, XAT, MAT, MAH-MBA CET, and GMAT scores are accepted. The process includes entrance score screening, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

• Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50%
• Accepted exams: CAT / XAT / MAT / MAH-MBA CET / GMAT
• Selection stages: entrance score screening, GD, and PI

Law Programmes (BALLB, BBALLB, LLB, LLM)

Law admissions are based on CLAT, MH-CET Law, or CSMU Law CET. Students who have completed 10+2 can apply for integrated law courses, while LLB needs a graduation degree.

• BALLB or BBALLB eligibility: 10+2 with at least 45%
• LLB eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with 45%
• LLM eligibility: LLB with at least 55%

Other UG Programmes (BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, BCA)

For UG courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Computing, CSMU considers CUET UG or CSMU CET scores. BA requires 40%, while the other streams require 45%. B.Sc Clinical Psychology Hons requires 10+2 with 45% in Science, with Biology preferred.

Pharmacy Programmes

B.Pharm admission is through MHT-CET Pharmacy or PNPCET. Students need 10+2 in PCM or PCB with at least 45%. For M.Pharm, applicants need B.Pharm with 55% and either a valid GPAT score or CSMU entrance result.

PG and Doctoral Programmes

MCA applicants need a BCA or BSc CS background and admission is through CUET PG or CSMU CET. M.Tech requires B.Tech or BE with 55% and GATE. Ph.D applicants need a PG degree with 55% and must clear UGC NET or the CSMU Doctoral Entrance Test. Selected M.Tech and Ph.D candidates may receive research assistantships.

CSMU Placements

The placement cell at CSMU reported a 73% placement rate in the latest season. More than 250 companies took part in recruitment. Some placed students, mainly from Engineering, Technology, and Management, were reported to have received packages above INR 8 LPA. The recent drive also cited over 10 Fortune 500-affiliated organisations among recruiters.

Engineering and Technology students were recruited in IT services, BFSI, healthcare technology, and FMCG. Management students saw hiring in banking, consulting, retail, and logistics. Law and Pharmacy students usually move into corporate law roles, clinical research organisations, hospital administration, and government recruitment.

For Pharmacy and Law graduates, outcomes depend more on domain exams, government hiring, and conversion of internships into jobs than on regular campus placements. CSMU supports students through resume preparation, mock interviews, industry connect programmes, and internship coordination.

CSMU Scholarships

For the 2026-27 session, CSMU offers scholarships based on merit, category, and research work. Students must maintain at least 75% attendance during the academic year to keep the award. Scholarship applications must be submitted by September 30, 2026.

Merit-based scholarships can continue in later years if the student keeps the required CGPA. Category concessions cannot be combined with merit scholarships. Government schemes, including the National Scholarship Portal and state government programmes, may apply separately in addition to CSMU awards.

CSMU Campus and Infrastructure

CSMU is located in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, on the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway near the Shedung Toll Plaza. Students can reach the campus by road from Mumbai and Pune through the expressway. Panvel railway station is the nearest rail head.

The campus has six faculty blocks, a central library, engineering and science laboratories, pharmaceutical simulation labs, a moot court hall for law students, an auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, and sports facilities. Hostel accommodation is available on campus for male and female students. Shuttle transport connects the campus with Panvel station and nearby townships.

The Faculty of Creative Arts and Film Technology has production studios and post-production facilities for Animation, VFX, Film Technology, and Design students. Pharmacy students use dispensary simulation and analytical chemistry labs. The library includes print and digital resources for UG, PG, and doctoral students. A placement and career development centre also operates on campus for internships, mock interviews, and industry tie-ups.

CSMU vs DY Patil University Navi Mumbai vs MIT-WPU Pune

Students looking for a private multi-discipline university between Mumbai and Pune often compare CSMU with DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, and MIT World Peace University, Pune. All three are private, UGC-recognised institutions with wide course choices. CSMU is the newest among them and has strong coverage in Law, Design, and Liberal Arts in the Navi Mumbai region.

CSMU suits students looking for Law courses such as BALLB and LLB, or Creative Arts courses such as Design, Film Technology, and Fine Arts in Navi Mumbai. DY Patil University Navi Mumbai is better aligned with medical and dental courses. MIT-WPU is a Pune-based option for students focused on Engineering or Management. None of these three universities currently has a comprehensive NIRF University rank.
