HYV Durg UG and B.Ed Admission 2026

Undergraduate selection at HYV Durg follows two routes. BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, and BBA seats are allotted from Class 12 merit, without a separate entrance test. B.Ed applicants must qualify through CG Pre-B.Ed and take part in the state counselling process.

HYV Durg UG Courses and Eligibility 2026

A recognized board must have awarded the applicant's Class 12 qualification. The required subjects and minimum marks differ by course. Reserved category applicants receive a 5% relaxation in the minimum score.

Course Eligibility Selection Basis
BA Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate Class 12 board marks are used to prepare the merit list
B.Sc Class 12 in the Science stream with at least 50%
B.Com Class 12 with Accounts and Economics and at least 40%
BCA Class 12 with Mathematics and at least 50%
BBA Class 12 from a recognized board

UG Merit and Seat Allotment

The university arranges eligible applicants by their Class 12 scores. Admission depends on the applicant's place in the merit list and whether a seat remains available in the chosen programme.

  • Marks in the Class 12 qualifying examination determine the UG merit order.
  • Students with Chhattisgarh domicile are considered for 85% of seats. The remaining 15% are open to applicants from outside the state.
  • A national or state-level sports achievement certificate is required to claim the sports quota.
  • SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other category reservations follow Chhattisgarh government rules.

UG Application Process

The complete UG form is submitted online. Applicants should enter their details carefully and retain a copy of the submitted form.

  • Open the official portal at durg1.ucanapply.com.
  • Create an account using an active email address and mobile number.
  • Sign in and enter the requested personal and academic information.
  • Choose a course and an affiliated college from the available options.
  • Upload clear scanned copies of the required records.
  • Pay INR 600 if applying under the General category or INR 400 if applying under a reserved category.
  • Submit the application and keep its printout for later use.

Documents Required:

  • Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and mark sheets
  • Character certificate and transfer certificate
  • Chhattisgarh domicile certificate for applicants claiming the state quota
  • Caste certificate, where applicable
  • State or national-level sports achievement certificate for the sports quota
  • Passport-size photographs
  • A valid government-issued identity document

HYV Durg B.Ed Eligibility 2026

B.Ed applicants must meet the conditions prescribed by CG Vyapam for CG Pre-B.Ed.

  • A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university is required.
  • General category applicants need at least 50% aggregate in graduation.
  • SC, ST, OBC, and PwD applicants need a minimum graduation aggregate of 45%.
  • Students in the final year of graduation may submit a provisional application.

B.Ed Entrance Test and Selection

CG Vyapam conducts CG Pre-B.Ed across Chhattisgarh once each year. The state merit list prepared from the examination decides who can enter counselling. During counselling, applicants select B.Ed colleges affiliated with HYV Durg, and seats are then allotted through the state process.

  • CG Pre-B.Ed is an OMR-based test lasting 120 minutes.
  • The paper has 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
  • Questions cover General Mental Ability, Teaching Aptitude, General Knowledge, General Hindi, and General English.
  • The examination has no negative marking.
  • Candidates who missed the present admission cycle can prepare for the 2027 examination and monitor cgvyapam.choice.gov.in for its notification.

B.Ed Application and Counselling Process

B.Ed admission does not use the regular UG merit form alone. Applicants first complete the CG Pre-B.Ed process and then participate in centralized counselling.

  • Submit the CG Pre-B.Ed application through cgvyapam.choice.gov.in.
  • Download the admit card and take the test at the assigned examination centre.
  • View the result on the CG Vyapam website after it is declared.
  • Register for state counselling and add preferred HYV-affiliated B.Ed colleges.
  • After receiving an allotment, report to the assigned college for document checks and fee payment.

HYV Durg PG Admission 2026

University Teaching Departments at HYV Durg admit students to MA, M.Sc, M.Com, and MCA through the university's UTD entrance examination. A written test is followed by an interview for all these PG programmes.

HYV Durg PG Eligibility 2026

The qualifying degree must match the subject requirements of the chosen programme. A 5% relaxation in minimum marks applies to reserved category applicants where specified.

Course Eligibility Selection Basis
MA BA in the relevant subject with at least 55%, or 50% for reserved categories UTD entrance examination and interview

MCA A graduation degree with Mathematics as a subject and at least 55%

PG Selection Process

The written UTD examination is the first part of PG selection. Shortlisted candidates then attend an interview. The university prepares its merit list after considering performance in both stages, and candidates state their preferred department during counselling.

PG Application Process

Applicants submit the PG form online and should use the university syllabus while preparing for the entrance test.

  • Register at durg1.ucanapply.com.
  • Choose the PG programme for which admission is sought.
  • Complete the form with correct academic and personal information.
  • Upload the graduation certificate, graduation mark sheets, and valid identity proof.
  • Pay the application charge of INR 600 for the General category or INR 400 for a reserved category.

  • Take the UTD entrance examination according to the university schedule.
  • If shortlisted, attend counselling conducted by the relevant department.

HYV Durg PhD Admission 2026

HYV Durg offers PhD study in 17 disciplines covering arts, science, commerce, and education. Applicants normally take the subject-specific Research Entrance Test, known as RET, before appearing for an interview. UGC NET/JRF-qualified applicants are excused from RET.

HYV Durg PhD Eligibility 2026

A Master's degree in the proposed research discipline is the basic academic requirement. The minimum score depends on the applicant's category.

  • The Master's degree must be in the relevant field and awarded by a recognized university.
  • General category applicants need at least 55% aggregate in the Master's programme.
  • SC, ST, and OBC applicants require at least 50% aggregate.
  • UGC NET/JRF holders are called for the interview without taking RET.
  • Final-year PG students may apply provisionally, but admission remains subject to declaration of their result.

PhD Selection Process

Applicants without UGC NET/JRF complete two selection stages. They first take a written RET in the relevant discipline and then attend a viva voce, which is an academic interview. The final decision considers the RET score together with interview performance.

  • Stage 1 is the written Research Entrance Test in the applicant's subject.
  • NET/JRF-qualified students skip Stage 1 and enter the interview stage directly.
  • Stage 2 is an interview or viva voce held by the concerned University Teaching Department.
  • The combined outcome of RET and the interview determines final allotment for applicants who take both stages.

Applicants who must take RET can use the subject syllabus published by the university. NET/JRF-qualified applicants should prepare for the departmental interview instead.

PhD Application Process

The PhD form is available through the university admission portal. A NET/JRF certificate must be uploaded by anyone claiming exemption from the written test.

  • Create an account at durg1.ucanapply.com.
  • Select PhD and choose the relevant academic discipline.
  • Upload the Master's degree, mark sheets, and NET/JRF certificate where applicable.
  • Pay the application fee and submit the form.
  • Applicants without NET/JRF must take RET when scheduled.
  • NET/JRF holders attend the departmental interview without appearing for RET.
