AIIMS Raebareli Admission Dates 2026 and 2027

Admission routes depend on the programme. NEET UG is used for MBBS, while the central AIIMS entrance examinations cover B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Paramedical courses. INI CET governs admission to MD and MS programmes. The upcoming schedule for the January 2027 postgraduate session is given below.

AIIMS Raebareli Courses and Fees

Students can study at undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality and doctoral levels at AIIMS Raebareli. The institute follows the central government fee schedule used by AIIMS institutions. The figures in the table apply to General category students.

Separate hostel accommodation is provided for male and female students. Hostel charges can reach INR 15,140 per year. The annual MBBS tuition charge is INR 1,350, keeping the course fee considerably lower than that of many medical programmes in India.

AIIMS Raebareli Admission Process

Applicants must qualify for the entrance examination assigned to their chosen programme. MBBS seats are allotted through MCC counselling based on NEET UG ranks, while AIIMS Delhi conducts the examinations used for nursing, paramedical and postgraduate admission.

MBBS Admission Through NEET UG

NTA conducts NEET UG for MBBS admission. Applicants need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and secure at least 50% aggregate marks. The minimum is 40% for SC, ST, OBC and PwD applicants. Every AIIMS Raebareli MBBS seat is allotted through MCC All India Quota counselling.

The selection process follows these stages:

• Receive the NEET UG result and rank
• Register on the MCC portal and submit college choices
• Participate in three seat-allotment rounds and the stray vacancy round
• Report for document verification at the assigned centre
• Pay the required fee to confirm admission

In Round 1 of NEET UG 2026, the General category closed at AIR 2,634. The corresponding closing ranks were AIR 3,586 for EWS, AIR 3,160 for OBC, AIR 22,455 for SC and AIR 35,875 for ST.

MD, MS, DM and M.Ch Admission Through INI CET

AIIMS Delhi conducts INI CET twice each year for postgraduate entry. AIIMS Raebareli has MD options in more than 19 areas: Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, ENT, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Microbiology, Obs and Gynae, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, and Transfusion Medicine. Its three MS specialisations are General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Otorhinolaryngology.

B.Sc Nursing and Paramedical Admission

AIIMS Delhi holds a central entrance examination for B.Sc Nursing (Hons) and all seven B.Sc Paramedical disciplines. Students must complete 10+2 with PCB and obtain at least 55% aggregate marks. For M.Sc Nursing, applicants need a B.Sc Nursing degree and a minimum of one year of clinical experience.

AIIMS Raebareli Placements and Career Outcomes

As a central government medical institute, AIIMS Raebareli does not run campus placement drives. Many MBBS graduates instead take NEET PG and continue into an MD or MS programme at an AIIMS or another government medical institution.

Clinical and research guidance comes through the institute’s academic association with PGIMER Chandigarh. This connection can support graduates seeking research fellowships or super-speciality training. Other career routes include private hospitals, the Armed Forces Medical Services and government health services such as CHS or CGHS through UPSC. MBBS graduates are not subject to a compulsory rural service bond.

AIIMS Raebareli Scholarships

Students may apply for central government scholarship schemes available at central medical institutions. Since annual MBBS tuition is only INR 1,350, the need for outside funding is lower than at private colleges, though several forms of financial assistance remain available.

AIIMS Raebareli Campus and Infrastructure

The 148-acre AIIMS Raebareli campus is situated in Munshiganj, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. Raebareli is 80 km from Lucknow along the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway, giving the institute access to Lucknow’s healthcare facilities for referrals and research.

A 750-bed multispeciality teaching hospital forms the clinical centre of the campus. It contains outpatient blocks, inpatient wards, an Intensive Care Unit, a Blood Bank and a Radiology block. Patients come in large numbers from Raebareli, Amethi and Pratapgarh districts. An additional 100-bed critical care unit is under construction to expand tertiary-care capacity.

Infrastructure for students and staff includes separate male and female hostels, faculty and staff residences, a central library and simulation laboratories. Hostel charges are up to INR 15,140 per year. The academic block accommodates basic science and pre-clinical departments, while departmental research areas work within the academic mentorship framework of PGIMER Chandigarh.

AIIMS Raebareli vs AIIMS Gorakhpur vs AIIMS Patna

Students from the Gangetic plain who hold NEET ranks between 2,000 and 5,000 often compare AIIMS Raebareli with AIIMS Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and AIIMS Patna in Bihar. Their location, PMSSY phase, development stage and distance from major cities are common points of comparison.

AIIMS Raebareli was established in Phase II of PMSSY and receives academic mentorship from PGIMER Chandigarh, giving it stronger institutional links than Phase VII institutes. AIIMS Patna is a Phase I institution with a larger 960-bed hospital, a longer operating history and a generally more competitive NEET student group. AIIMS Gorakhpur belongs to Phase VII and is comparable to AIIMS Bibinagar in establishment period and campus development, making it the closest peer to AIIMS Raebareli.
