AIIMS Mangalagiri Admission Process
MBBS Admission
There is no institute-level test or interview for the MBBS course. Applicants qualify through NEET UG, and MCC assigns seats through centralised counselling.
- Step 1, check eligibility: Complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Applicants need at least 50% marks, reduced to 40% for SC and ST candidates. The permitted age is 17 to 25 years on 31 December of the admission year.
- Step 2, qualify for NEET UG: Obtain a valid examination rank. The General category closing rank at AIIMS Mangalagiri was AIR 1,357 in 2025.
- Step 3, join MCC counselling: Seat allocation depends entirely on NEET UG merit. No further test or interview is held.
- Step 4, apply under the relevant category: Central rules provide 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 27% OBC Non-Creamy Layer, and 10% EWS reservation. Candidates with disabilities receive 5% horizontal reservation.
After allotment, students must report by the stated deadline with their original documents. The full nominal fee is due during reporting.
PG Admission for MD/MS/DM/M.Ch
AIIMS Delhi conducts INI-CET twice each year for postgraduate admissions across the AIIMS system. The November examination supports the January intake, while the May examination is used for the July intake.
- Step 1, meet the course requirement: MD/MS applicants need an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised institution and must have completed a 1-year rotating internship.
- Step 2, take the required entrance examination: Selection depends on the INI-CET score. Admission to DM or M.Ch also requires an MD or MS in the relevant base specialty.
- Step 3, participate in seat allocation: The 2025 General category MD/MS cutoff in Round 2 covered INI-CET ranks from 129 to 6,052.
Closing scores are higher for competitive subjects such as Cardiology, Neurology, and Dermatology. Within the AIIMS system, basic science MD courses generally close at lower cutoffs.
