NLU Sonipat Admissions 2025

The admission is based on CLAT, followed by the counselling process. Once the candidate has secured a valid CLAT Rank, they must participate in the centralised counselling organised by the CLAT Consortium. Here, they can choose DBRANLU, Sonipat as their preferred law university.

LLM Admission is based on CLAT PG and follows the same process as the undergraduate program.

For PhD Admission, 50% of seats are allotted based on the UGC-NET/JRF Test or the NLU Sonipat Entrance Examination.

  • Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET/JRF are exempted from the entrance test.
  • Admission will be based on an interview/viva, wherein the candidate will present their research area/interest before the Doctoral Research Committee
  • The weightage of the interview is 30 marks which is divided into Domain Knowledge (15 Marks) + Research Aptitude (15 Marks)
  • The final merit list will be made, based on the Interview scores.

Selected candidates will have eligibility for provisional enrollment for PhD. For final registration, candidates must submit a research proposal to the Doctoral Research Committee after completing the Pre-Ph.D. coursework.
