I am pursuing bachelor's degree in Commerce (Hons.), I chose Commerce because I have a keen interest in commerce but I chose honours degree because it provides me with a option to pursue research in Commerce for one year during my bachelor's degree (As per New Education Policy), which is a four year degree... I need to Maintain an average of 7.5 Gpa during first three years to be eligible to pursue Research in the final (4th) year... Our department is blessed with the professor's, Our professors have got titles like CA, CS, Dr., PhD and not to mention the experience they bring to the cable in their respective fields.. Professor's are Open, Approachable and always Ready to tackle any Doubts to make sure No doubts ho unheard and unsolved. Exams are fun, twice in a semester and not so difficult, Checking is also lenient.
I chose this college over other's because of the Social Media Presence of the clubs in our college, SWABALAMBAN Club amongst other clubs are quite Active and popular over social media platforms... And the members of these clubs are always Hosting or Joining in Any Event, Workshop, Field Visit, Industry Visit, etc. Also Our College has a Vivekananda Seminar Hall which is Always Hosting some or other Seminar. Out of all the nearby Colleges, Banwarilal Bhalotia College is the most happening college. Admission process was fairly similar to the other colleges, You are required to score Enough Marks in 12th Boards (or equivalent) and you are in the Merit List.. For my batch, 60% was enough..
Read Full ReviewI have taken BA Hindi Honors, and it is a very common course. The teachers of Hindi department are really good and helpful to us. The faculty members have done at least post graduation, and some of them have done PhD as well.
I chose this college mainly because it is budget friendly, and in nearby areas of Asansol, it is one of the best colleges in Asansol. I took direct admission here and the process was smooth. For it, I had to fill an admission form and verify all my academic documents. My course is distributed into semesters and we have final exams each semester. Attendance criteria is 75% minimum for being eligible for the exams.
Read Full ReviewI choose this cource because of my friends. I didn't know about the qualification of faculty and some teacher is good but some teacher only liked some students and gave them good marks and we got only average. Exam is easy and time of the exam is 11 pm to 2 pm
I took admission in this college because this is best college in my city. In this college some thing is good like ground size. Admission process is easy . First we have to fill the onljne admission form and after that come in merit list then you have to take admission. No exam for admission.
Read Full Review•I chooses this course for the versatility of knowledge in this course and tourism. •The faculty have done PHD in their zone and this is well teaching methods available for students. •There are 6 exams in every semester every exam have 1 hour time, the difficulty level of exem is not really hard.
Placement cell need to be improved because it doesn't offer good jobs for students. There are only sales and tele caller jobs recruiter comes . The college have to look into more opportunities given to students for placement of students.
Read Full ReviewAs a biology lover student botany was my 1st priority as it opens alot of door for future higher studies. It connects with nature and gives real life examples and all. We can expect sem wise exam in every 6 months(may varry). During the lockdown period our teachers always helped us to complete our syllabus in online mode.
It gives placement facilities for the tech background student like BCA apart from that our faculty guides us about career path but no campus was arranged for us. They guided us about MSC and PHD degree and other career options
Read Full ReviewI got admission in this college because I am a son of low income family and we can't afford to get admission in good college and I like to study about virus bacteria so I got admission in this course. Studying and classes in our college are very good and our classes are regular. The teachers are very good and friendly with our students. Classes and exams are conducted semester wise. Both theory and practical exams are conducted separately. The exam is not too tough and is of moderate level.
No placements are provided for my course (microbiology) . Placements are provided for some specific courses like chemistry, BBA, BCA etc. very few students in a year got placement. The placement percentage may be 2 or 3 percent in a year Recently some recruiters are visited in our college. One of the recruiter was Bajaj finance. The average package was 10,000 rupees per month in the Bajaj finance. As my course has no placements that's why I decided to take admission in M.Sc after completion of my course. After M.Sc, there are little chance for placement from this course.
Read Full ReviewMy course was divided in total six semesters. In every semester there are three main or honours papers and one pass paper and also one compulsory paper. Faculties are really good and helpful. They always takes care of our studies.
There is a dedicated placement cell in the college for the betterment of the passed students. This cell with joint coordination with many reknown companies gives a good opportunity for the students to settle after graduation.
Read Full ReviewI chose the BSc Honours program in zoology due to my interest in the course. The faculties have completed their MSc degree in related subjects. They are pursuing their Ph.D. Their teaching methods are the same old school: reading from the textbook and reciting it out. Also, reputation is something you can't expect. Their main focus is to complete the syllabus. They are well educated and qualified but the matter of fact is that they will teach only when they want to. The exams take place quite timely, very rarely our semester exams are late. The difficulty level is moderate. Anyone with bare minimums can pass the exam, you need to work a bit to get good marks. There is no fee hike program. Although they tend to charge you many times for things like registration, exam fees, and all. Yeah, you can find scholarship like the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, Oasis Scholarship for OBC, etc. which provides a good level of financial assistance.
The placements in the college are really low or you can say there is nothing like placement in the college. The college does have a Career counseling and placement cell but it's of no use. It just focuses on providing a bare minimum earning jobs which offers 8-10000. There are no such things as the highest and lowest earnings packages, it just gives a degree and the rest is your responsibility.
