- I Like our Central Library the most, the best company of books, knowledge, insights and not to forget peace.. Library has it all but the counting does not stops here, I made a decent number of friends in library only and it's the best place to Continue self study as well, be it An assignment completion, Question Practice or simply Self-Study, library has got you covered ....
- The College Ground is another great thing about our college, In summers it is quite hot outside but NCC Pupils continue their practice which provides us with a lot of insights into the determination and discipline they spread, NSS pupils also keep up their work and they do a lot of admirable work.. But in Winter's, College Ground looks more like a picnic spot because all the students (sometimes professors too) gather up in the college ground after their classes to Enjoy bright sunlight with their peers... Our group likes to play badminton and it is an experience I recommend every person to have atleast once....
- As I already mentioned, our department is blessed with faculties and other departments faculties are also good.. Faculties are always up for helping us tackle our doubts and problems that arise at the odd times and that's the best they can do for us (I believe)....
- There are a lot of things I like about our College but I would like to wrap up with One thing I like the most about our college, which is the balance between Academics and Practical Knowledge (recommend by the New Education Policy) although it is recommended by NEP, not every Educational Institute focuses on practical insights but our college has taken it very seriously, for our benefit.. Our Principal, Dr. Amitava Basu is also a smart and respectable person, they have understood the benefits of practical Insights (benefits are countless).....
Dislikes
- I don't dislike anything, but I will appreciate if our college focuses more on sports programs and events, i believe sports events shall take place more frequently...
- I can not think of anything else, that I dislike about our college...
Remarks :
I chose this college over other's because of the Social Media Presence of the clubs in our college, SWABALAMBAN Club amongst other clubs are quite Active and popular over social media platforms... And the members of these clubs are always Hosting or Joining in Any Event, Workshop, Field Visit, Industry Visit, etc. Also Our College has a Vivekananda Seminar Hall which is Always Hosting some or other Seminar. Out of all the nearby Colleges, Banwarilal Bhalotia College is the most happening college. Admission process was fairly similar to the other colleges, You are required to score Enough Marks in 12th Boards (or equivalent) and you are in the Merit List.. For my batch, 60% was enough..
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am pursuing bachelor's degree in Commerce (Hons.), I chose Commerce because I have a keen interest in commerce but I chose honours degree because it provides me with a option to pursue research in Commerce for one year during my bachelor's degree (As per New Education Policy), which is a four year degree... I need to Maintain an average of 7.5 Gpa during first three years to be eligible to pursue Research in the final (4th) year... Our department is blessed with the professor's, Our professors have got titles like CA, CS, Dr., PhD and not to mention the experience they bring to the cable in their respective fields.. Professor's are Open, Approachable and always Ready to tackle any Doubts to make sure No doubts ho unheard and unsolved. Exams are fun, twice in a semester and not so difficult, Checking is also lenient.

Campus Life :
Campus Life is fun and fulfilling rather than too much Happening, Campus has a ground, a canteen and a lot of spots for students to hangout and enjoy themselves with their peers... Our Annual Fest "Sanghati Utsav" is really very popular around the city.. In fact, the students from other colleges also drop by to Enjoy the breathtaking moments Created by best of Artists (Including Artists from our college) during those two days... Library is my favourite place to spend time productively and smartly, Central Library has got a hefty collection of more than a couple thousand books not to mention the collection in of Department Libraries and Question papers are also available in library in bulk for all the departments... As I mentioned earlier, SWABALAMBAN Club is one of the superbly active clubs and club members recieve a lot of insights along with the fun experience....

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
