Patna Women’s College admission 2026 is based on the college entrance process for women candidates only. The college is a UGC-autonomous institution with NAAC A++ accreditation and offers more than 27 UG programmes, 10 PG programmes, and 4 diploma programmes. UG options include BA and B.Sc, while PG options include MA, M.Sc, MCA, and PG diploma courses.

Admission Update:

UG Programmes (BA, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, BCom, etc.): The PWCET 2026 application window ran from February 1 to March 15, 2026. Students should check pwcadmissions.in for the latest admission list status.
PG / MCA / PG Diploma Programmes: The PG registration deadline was extended to July 31, 2026 through pwcadmissions.in.

Applications are accepted only from women candidates because PWC has been a women-only college since it was founded.
PWC conducts PWCET on its own. Students do not need JEE, CUET, or any other outside entrance exam.
For UG admission, General category students need at least 50% aggregate in Class 12. Failed students and compartment candidates cannot apply.
The application fee is INR 1,500 for most courses and INR 800 for MA Home Science.
PWC was placed in the 101-150 band in the NIRF 2025 college rankings and is among the few Bihar colleges with NAAC A++ accreditation.

Direct Admission at PWC: Patna Women’s College has no management quota. Seats are filled only through the merit list prepared from PWCET performance, and no seat is available outside this process.

PWC Patna UG Admission 2026

Patna Women’s College offers UG admission in arts, science, commerce, and professional streams. Students applying for UG courses have to appear for PWCET, which is a 70-mark objective entrance test. The college releases results, merit lists, and admission status updates on pwcadmissions.in.

PWC Patna UG Selection Criteria 2026

UG seats are allotted through a merit list prepared after PWCET. Students are called according to their merit rank. If two students get the same PWCET score, the Class 12 percentage is used to decide the order.

PWCET is an OMR-based objective test of 70 marks, and there is no negative marking.
The paper includes General Knowledge and Aptitude along with subject-based questions.
BCA, BBA, and professional course applicants also have an online interview round.
Students who failed or have compartment results are not eligible, even if they qualify in PWCET.
Selected students must carry original documents on the date written in the admission letter.

I dislike the placement of the college because it's very low.

Remarks:

Patna Women's college is the most reputed and best college of Patna. It provides alot of opportunities in various fields to the student in comparison with the other colleges of Patna. This college is also known as for its quality of education. To take admission here I'd had to give ab entrance exam . In the exam questions are from the basics of class 11 and 12.

What I Liked

Infrastructure and campus is very nice .
I like the green campus of my college and clean environment.

What I didn’t like

The one thing I dislike about college is that we don't right to use phone in campus
And it is very strict about uniform.we don't have right to wear western dresses.

Remarks:

College is very good and it is a top college of Bihar. It is girls college and it is famous for its discipline and attendance is very compulsory for my college .I like the college because of green campus and it also provide many facilities like outdoor games ,gym and E library.select the students on the 12 th marks basis.

A review on whether to join Patna Women's College or not

What I Liked

The college campus infrastructure is much better than the other colleges of Patna University.
Faculties and facilities here are much better. Clean washrooms, safe drinking water etc.

What I didn’t like

The college has a big library but many of the books are outdated.
Usage of smartphones inside the college campus is strictly prohibited which leads to many problems.

Remarks:

If you are planning to go for higher studies in Patna and you are a female student then Patna Women's College is the best option out there. Now since the college has got NAAC A++grading choosing the college would be a good option.

Know about the best women's college of bihar

What I Liked

The college have a clean and lolust green campus with a gym, basketball court, and big library.
The classes are regular and the exams are conducted timely.

What I didn’t like

The does not allow the use of mobile phone which makes it quite difficult for the students.
The college authority is really strict about the dress code.

Remarks:

It is one of the most reputed colleges in Patna known for its discipline and academic excellence and offers exposure to extracurricular activities. It also has a great campus in comparison to other colleges with a library, highly equipped labs, and a hostel facility. however, the college doesn't allow to use of mobile phones on the premises. They take their entrance exam offline in the college based on which admission is provided to the students.
