Uluberia College was established on 16th August 1948. It is located in Howrah district, West Bengal. The college provides 34 courses in Arts, Commerce, Science. It offers undergraduate courses in B.A, B.Sc, B.Com ( Hons and General) of 3 years duration. It also provides professional courses such as B.ed programs. The division is one of the oldest in the Howrah District, and it has played an important role in teacher training since its inception. The B.ed Department was recognized by N.C.T.E in 2008.

Uluberia College: Scholarships 

The college has arranged various stipends and awards schemes for students. Students who are meritorious and excel in their studies receive grants and awards from the college. Economically weaker students are eligible for substantial financial aid from the Students Welfare Fund.   • Sudhish Ch. Memorial Scholarship: Supported by Smt. Arati Das, 28C, Gariahat Road, Kolkata - 700 068, is given to the student who achieves the highest grade in the BA (Hons) Part-I Exam.
  • Non-teaching staff scholarship: Each of the Uluberia College students who get the highest mark in Part - II Hons Exam in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams receive a non-teaching staff scholarship.
  • Induprabha Ghosal Memorial Scholarship: For Uluberia College students who achieve the highest marks in the BA Hons and BSc Hons Part-I exams. Buddhadeb Ghosal of Uluberia donated it to the college.
  • Jagadish Chandra De and Arun Kana De memorial scholarships: For students from this college who achieve the highest marks in Botany and Zoology in the Part-II examination. Their son, Sri Sukhendu Kumar De of Uluberia, has donated to the college.
  • Sarojprava Panigrahi and Sushmita Panigrahi memorial scholarships: For the college students who receive the highest marks in Part-I Philosophy Hons Examination and Part-I Philosophy Hons Examination, respectively (Part -I and Part II Combined examination). Prof Sankar Kumar Panigrahi, this college's Reader in Chemistry, has donated it to the college.
