College with historical monuments.

What I Liked

Union christian college is a 100 year old college. So that there are many monuments in the college campus. There is a museum in history department and there is a nanangadi in college library.
Every time there are many events. So that students can enjoy college life very well. And there is a good canteen inside the college campus with affordable rate. There is a DTP center in the college campus.

What I didn’t like

There is no uniform structure in college.
Sometimes students union call for strike and classes are cancelled.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell inside the college. Every year many of the students got placement from the college. They collect 2000 rs from the students during admission time for the placement facilities.

My college life

What I Liked

College is very attached to nature.there are alot if gardens trees in college.buildings are very aesthetic and vintage
Campus is life is very superb.there are alot of things to explore in campus

What I didn’t like

My department is very strict since it is a self finance course
Faculty doesn't try to maintain a friendly relationship between students and teachers

Placement Experience:

My college provides placement.since I'm a first year student and also a student in the first batch of fyugp i don't know many things about this.i wish to do many certification courses along with degree.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship starts at third year or something.since I'm a first year student I don't have anything to do with internships.I started researching about internship when I start my second semester Till then I have to study more about my course

What I Liked

Main infrastructure is the main building which was once a court room now converted into a campus and its has its own beauty Second is the whole campus which lies in acres of land and many buildings for different departments with facilities Faculty in my department is great they are the best ones Campus life is described as in one word “incredible “

What I didn’t like

Dislikes are sometimes about the maintenance sometimes during rain its not maintained well thats it.

Placement Experience:

I am now a second year students and about internships and placments more ideas are provided at third year so no much knowledge in those and not giving wrong informations to the students who are in search of admissions

Internships Opportunities:

No not yet its opted in third year and much details will be provided at that time mostly for my course unibiosys lab is provided i dont know if its the same next year its in CUSAT provided in third year 5 th semester time

UC College, Aluva; One of the oldest College in Kerala

What I Liked

The college infrastructure was very good; it has some of the oldest buildings in Kerala. There is a main building on the campus, Called Kacheri Malika. Which was an archaeologically protected building by the Government of Kerala. It was a court under the Kingdom of Cochin. The college has the second biggest library in the district of Ernakulam. And the laugh facilities in this college are great. Additionally, every department has its own library and lab.
The time I spent in this college is one of my favorite moments in my life. I was glad I studied at UC College Aluva. I was able to make friends from various parts of Kerala. I have been able to see a lot of celebrities because there are a lot of cinema shootings happening there every year. And the faculties are very friendly and where you are resourceful. They help to understand what I am looking for in my life.

What I didn’t like

One bad thing about this college is its placement facilities. Even though it is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in Kerala, it has no proper placement facilities. There is a placement sale in this college, but it has no use. UC College mainly provides a bachelor's in Arts and a bachelor's in fundamental science. So, the placement opportunities are very low for these students.
Some of the noun teaching staff of this college are very rude. Every year there will be some issues between students and no teaching staff. Because of their bad behavior, some parents don't want to send their kids to the wonderful institution. Theree were some sexual harassment cases, and the college authorities failed to handle this type of case in the right manner.

Placement Experience:

The college mainly provides basic degree programs. Including a bachelor's in Arts and a bachelor's in fundamental science. So the placement opportunities are very low in this college. But there are courses like microbiology also on this campus so they get placement.

Internships Opportunities:

During my graduation program I done an internship in a newspaper named Deshabhimani as a local field reporter. I got a opportunity to work with some senior reporters in that newspaper. This internship is the reason why I choose media ask my career.

What I Liked

The beauty of the college lies in its 100 year old beauty of heritage
Campus life is extremely engaging with diffrent activities.

What I didn’t like

Being an old college, new technology is less
Being a big college, it is difficult to connect with all the students

Placement Experience:

Our placement cell is a very well endowed in our college. Sheetal mam is in charge of the placement office. Every year around 1500 more students are placed from different departments in many companies like Wipro and Infosys.

Internships Opportunities:

My department offers several internship options. our sir invited us for the program held at bangalore christ college, but could not attend due to sem exam, so i am doing internship in human resource in private company

What I Liked

I like everything about the college. The college life is so colourful and memorable.the infrastructure of the college is amazing.The faculty and the education everything is perfect in the college

What I didn’t like

I dont dislike anything about the college.
The only thing will be not providing internship facilty in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is very active in the college.the students should not have a backpaper to apply for jobs.companies like accenture, tcs have done their placement drive in the college. Minimum package is 20-30k in the beginning.Students who has a good academic background are likely to get placement from the college.

Internships Opportunities:

You can do the internship by yourself.The internship offered by the departemts are less.Some of the departments doesnt provide internship facility and it is a drawback.If you want to do internship the students have to find it and do it if they want to.

Know about it, before you go for it.

What I Liked

College atmosphere. Students would like the atmosphere and environment of the college, it can be mind refreshing.
Anti-ragging or rag free campus. No ragging cases have been reported in the past few years.

What I didn’t like

Toilet cleanliness can be counted as a dislike in that college. Some bathroom door have broken locks.
Attitude of office staffs. Some staffs are not co operative to students and don't help to meet the need of the students to goes to the office for any enquiries.

Placement Experience:

A placement cell unit is available at the campus, where you can enquire about the job opportunities and job option available for the course you chose. They also provide campus placement facilities based on the graduation mark list to various companies like Wipro, Infosys etc.

Internships Opportunities:

I have done two internship program while at college; 1) IIT Intership programs, Kharagpur. The course was Human Resources, and provided or led by various qualified mentors from various states and universities. 2) NPTEL swayam intership program.

About the great UCC

What I Liked

The college , mangement is very friendly.
And there is no ragging in the campus. And theres an anti-ragging cell also .

What I didn’t like

There's small kind of miscommunication between the students itself.
Some of the faculties are not very friendly.

Placement Experience:

I am not very sure about this as I have a little knowledge about the placement. But there's a placement cell for the students in the campus and they provide every usefull information to the students. And they utilises it.

Internships Opportunities:

No. I haven't opted for any internship so far because I'm still studying. And its just 2nd year and have to focus on the studies and after that have to opt for any internship. As they provide a numerous opportunities

What I Liked

The college provides many oppertunities and conduct many programs to enhance the social life of students and give us a break from this hectic shedule.
The college maintains a balance between traditional and modern infrastructure

What I didn’t like

The internal exams are conducted so frequently that it makes it hard for us to keep upto date
The bathroom facilities could be a bit more better, although it isn't that bad

Placement Experience:

The college provides many internships and placement opportunities. The last 3 semesters of this course have many internships which include the whole project session in 6th sem The placement cell provides many interesting opportunities to the students too.

Internships Opportunities:

I was able to get an internship in the first semester. It was to work as a volunteer in the national CBSE football tournament. It was such a great opportunity to work there and see such high-quality football. They also provided food and accommodation.

UC college - A review

What I Liked

The college has an infrastructure which is a mixture of both traditional and modern times. Both has been maintained pretty decently too. The college conducts many programs to enhance the social life of the students too.
The teachers here are young and experienced at the same time. They are friendly towards us students . At the same time, they make sure about their professionalism too. The syllabus and portions are completed in correct time.

What I didn’t like

The college conducts internal exams very recently which makes it harder for students to be upto date with studies. There is no travelling facilities availed directly by the bus (college bus). The maintenance of bathroom facilities could be improved too in some buildings.
The timings of the programs are not much suitable for the day scholars who travel from a long distance. Most of the programs are conducted in evenings which makes it harder for the day scholars to attend.

Placement Experience:

This course alone provides many internships. The 4th,5th, and 6th semesters contain many internships with the whole of 6th sem being an internship. The college also provides campus placements after graduation too.

Internships Opportunities:

I did participate in an internship last year. It was the national CBSE football tournament lasting 5 days. I got a participation certificate. They also provide us with refreshments and food and accommodation.
