Madurai Medical College Placements and Career Outcomes

Madurai Medical College does not follow the usual campus placement model because it is a government medical college. Students usually build their careers through NEET PG, Tamil Nadu government service, residency training, or clinical practice.

Many MBBS graduates choose postgraduate training through NEET PG. MMC itself has 214 PG seats and 47 super-specialty seats. Students who get MD or MS seats in state government colleges receive a monthly residency stipend of INR 60,000 to INR 80,000, as per Tamil Nadu government norms.

Madurai Medical College Scholarships

Madurai Medical College students can access fee concessions and scholarships if they meet the eligibility rules. Most of these benefits are handled by the Tamil Nadu government through the state Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department.
