NIET Greater Noida admits students in 2026 through counselling and direct admission routes. For B.Tech, 85% of seats are filled through UPTAC using JEE Main merit, while the remaining 15% seats are for management and NRI quota.

For PG courses, NIET uses different routes by programme. MBA admission is based on CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview, while M.Tech and MCA admission is handled through AKTU PG counselling. The B.Tech first-year fee is INR 1,79,100, and the MBA first-year fee is INR 1,79,100 for the 2025-26 session.

Admission Update:

B.Tech 2026: Management quota applications are open at applynow.niet.co.in.
MBA 2026: CAT exam is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Students can apply at applynow.niet.co.in.
M.Tech and MCA 2026: Admission is in progress through AKTU PG counselling.

UPTAC Rounds 1 to 5 are only for UP domicile candidates. The candidate's parents must have UP domicile, and the qualifying exam must be from an institution in Uttar Pradesh.
If seats are vacant after the regular rounds, UPTAC Special Rounds may allow candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh.
Students who completed 10+2 from NIOS can apply for B.Tech admission at NIET as per AKTU rules.
B.Tech Lateral Entry into 2nd year is offered to diploma holders, subject to UP domicile rules during UPTAC rounds.
Eligible students can apply for government scholarships through NSP, UP State Government, AICTE Pragati for girls, and AICTE Saksham for PwD students.

NIET B.Tech Selection Process 2026

For UPTAC seats, NIET B.Tech admission depends on JEE Main percentile. UPTAC prepares the rank list and allots seats after checking the candidate's rank, category, and branch choices.

UPTAC uses the best of two JEE Main session scores, either Session 1 or Session 2.
Reservation is followed as per AKTU and UP Government rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and Defence categories.
Students allotted NIET must report to the campus with original documents within the given deadline. Missing the reporting step cancels the seat.
For the 15% management quota, NIET considers 10+2 merit and its own institutional admission criteria. Students should contact the admission office directly.

How to Apply for B.Tech at NIET Greater Noida?

UPTAC Route - Step 1: Register at uptac.samarth.edu.in, pay the counselling fee, and upload the required documents.
UPTAC Route - Step 2: During choice filling, add NIET and the preferred B.Tech branch to the preference list.
UPTAC Route - Step 3: Check the allotment result. If NIET is allotted, pay the online confirmation fee and download the allotment letter.
UPTAC Route - Step 4: Visit the NIET Greater Noida campus on the given reporting date with original certificates, marksheets, and category documents.

NIET Greater Noida PG Admission 2026

NIET Greater Noida offers MBA, MCA, and M.Tech at the PG level. MBA admission uses CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores followed by GD and PI, while MCA and M.Tech are admitted through AKTU PG counselling. Management quota admission is also available for eligible programmes.

The MBA at NIET is a 2-year full-time programme with an intake of 300 seats. The available specialisations are Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Business Analytics, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

NIET MBA Selection Process 2026

NIET first shortlists MBA applicants through their entrance exam scores. Shortlisted students are then invited to the Greater Noida campus for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Students may appear for CAT, MAT, or CMAT. A valid score in any one exam is enough.
The MBA application must be submitted at applynow.niet.co.in with the entrance score card and graduation marksheets.
NIET sends GD and PI call letters to shortlisted candidates.
The final admission decision is based on entrance exam score, graduation percentage, GD performance, and PI performance.
Work experience is not compulsory for MBA admission at NIET.
Specialisation allotment depends on student preference and performance in GD and PI.

Register at applynow.niet.co.in and complete the online MBA form.
Upload the CAT, MAT, or CMAT score card along with graduation marksheets and ID proof.

MCA Lateral Entry at NIET Greater Noida

MCA Lateral Entry into Second Year is available for BCA or B.Sc IT/Computer Science graduates who have studied Mathematics. Students must apply directly at NIET.

Scholarships at NIET Greater Noida

NIET helps eligible students access government scholarship schemes after enrollment. Students have to apply on the official state or central portals on their own.

UP State Government Scholarship: SC, ST, OBC, and EWS category students studying at NIET can apply through the UP scholarship portal.
NSP Central Sector Scholarship: Students with family annual income below INR 8 lakhs can apply at scholarships.gov.in after joining.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship: Girl students in AICTE-approved technical programmes can receive up to INR 50,000 per year, subject to eligibility.

Ques. Do students need JEE Main for every B.Tech seat at NIET Greater Noida?

What I Liked

There is only few things I like in these college is that the faculty members putting efforts in every student except some teachers .
I like clubs of this club , there are so many clubs you can join in this college . I have joined the spectrum club which about Video editing and photo editing and photo shoot and video shoot . Their were workshops of python and C programming first year. Hello there were Apple Labs, ibm labs and more there were collaboration with mercedies for mechanical students.

What I didn’t like

College infrastructure was very very bad College washroom sucks smells very bad . Attendance criteria was very bad of our college it was 85% mandatory in first semester . There is dress in even semester which was not good . College campus too small .
I do not understand the existence of M tutor classes which was like watching lectures online animated of maths which was not good I dislike about the colleges that college is only focusing on academics academics and academics there were sports competition but not so promoted by college , The College Empire racing to complete the syllabus like they have workshops of python which was finished in 12 days and see programming in 12 days which was not good for person who was studying computer languages for first time.

Remarks:

I want to take admission outside the city Jaipur so I choose NIET Greater Noida . Admission process is very quite simple you have to fill up AKTU counselling of Uttar Pradesh state for engineering . I got this college from JEE main rank , My rank was about 2,73,000 and 81 percentile from general category . I got AI branch in first round but I have to peruse AIML branch as of my interest . so I got AIML branch in 4th round . Good experts of college are that college has dresses in even semester only and there's no need of id card permanently and bad aspect of college Is Infrastructure and attendance criteria of 85% mandatory in first semester otherwise you will detain from Sessionals. Most of the faculty of our college is very very good they can help you in any situation.

NIET: Place where dreams do come true .

What I Liked

I love the labs present inour college and love working there , it's a very good experience.
Faculty is very nice and kind they all are so Lovable and mentor us in a good direction.

What I didn’t like

I hate infrastructure of our college it's very old and no maintenence seem to take place over there .
Cafeteria experience is not so good food most of the time feels very bad quality and taste is also not so promising .

Remarks:

There was a group discussion between the faculty and parents . Faculty and labs are outstanding m but infrastructure is not so promising. I get here after giving my JEE mains exam and they also give direct admissions as well .

What I Liked

The college has a great environment to study all the students are studious
The teachers are serious about assignments , attendance, performances and academics

What I didn’t like

My college doesn’t have a great infrastructure it should be renovated
The college gate closes at 9:40 am and after that there is no entry and exit allowed in the college which is at times frustrating. W

Remarks:

My is highly education focused it hosts various seminars and events related to course its all acedemically focused . I choose this college as this was affordable as compared to other engineering colleges and it also provides decent placement. To get into this college and take admission in btech you need to get 80%+ marks in 12th with compulsory subjects maths chemistry and physics . There are various process through which you can get in to this college like UPSSEE counselling, direct admission, lateral entry admissions and entrance examinations etc

What I Liked

So basically, what I like about my college is that it have a great faculty and whenever you stuck in any situation in academics, the faculty members are always there to help you and to get rid of your problem. You can ask any doubt from any faculty members, even if they do not teach you, they'll give you the solution of the problem for the doubt that you have asked. My college also provides a great enthusiasm of learning new things and with writing that of new things I must say practically showing everything and visualising it. The faculty members take most of the classes in the computer labs, so you don't have to worry about the problems that you might face because you'll get to hands on experience on the thing that you are studying on.
The infrastructure of the college is pretty basic and it provides a minimalistic approach, so you don't have to think that you are from any other state or any other region so you are treated differently. a student which is present in an NIET college is there to study an excel in the field which they are studying on. So if you're studying a computer science degree then you'll get a hands on experience on the computer science fundamentals without any problem.

What I didn’t like

the thing that I dislike about my college is the campus life. It has a dead campus life because of the fact that you are going to study in a college where the most priority is being given to studies. Do not expect anything regarding Fest or enjoyment. You are there to study or like a job that you are going for from 9 to 5 and after that, coming to your Hostel or PG and study and after that, also because the teachers will give you homework that you have to do, they try to make their students the best version of themselves in study only.
The second thing that I don't like about my college is that they provide hands on experience on everything like programming languages or development, but they give a very short period of time to study those fundamentals or to learn those fundamentals properly. They'll give you one month of Java development course, but in that, you have to come to the college for more than nine hours, and after that when you go home, you should do an assignment that is giving to you by your teacher and you have to show the teacher the next day. After that, the teacher will teach you another topic and give assignment which you have to give to the teacher, the next day, so very hectic for the students sometimes.

Remarks:

I have given jee and there after i got this college from councelling . I had 86.4 percent in 12th and 70 percentile in jee which add upto the selection criteria for NIET Computer Science branch . but now they have increased the jee percentile criteria i guess . The admission process was smooth and in just one visit i was in the college.

If you want the detal analysis of NIET

What I Liked

The faculty, the environment, the placement. These are the most rated things in this college and very highly the feature is that it is autonomous .
The infrastructure and social life is very so-so in this sector so it is upto the candidate how much he/she is interested in social interving skill.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure is very poor of the college. Very discontinuous in the buildings and the area.
Campus Life and extracurricular and fest are not taken very seriously in this college so have a mind check on this.

Remarks:

The overall placement and study environment is good and it is outstanding among all the college of aktu. As it is autonomous. And telling about the fest and extracurricular activities it is not upto the mark. But the major experience u can have its industry oriented program.

Not perfect, but worth it

What I Liked

I like that because of the autonomous status of college, the exam papers are set by the college, so we have better than a vague idea of what can come in exam
I like that they emphasize on making us ready for the professional world by including those communication classes, where we get real life problems to solve.

What I didn’t like

I really dislike the infrastructure. The campus is split into pieces, each one is kilometers away from another. The campus doesn't give the vibe of a college, it feels like school with intense study pressure.
I don't like attendance criteria of atleast 85% attendance before each sessional exam. If there's even 1% lesser attendance then the student has to either request the dean or be detained from the exam

Remarks:

I chose this college because it has one of the best reputation among private colleges in greater noida and even in all uttar pradesh. Also because of it's curriculum which is regulated by the college itself because of the autonomy status. And it was the best choice according to my JEE mains score. I didn't face any gd or tests because I got admission through UPTAC counselling. For counselling students, the admission process requires just submitting documents in physical and digital format, and it's done. For direct admission students, they can face interviews or written tests most probably if the number of students are more than the seats available for direct admission. To talk about cutoff, I got this college in the fourth round of UPTAC counselling, being of general category and having a percentile of 78+ in JEE mains.

What I Liked

The grounds and all sports activities and cultural club.

Remarks:

It was best college in our state and their records were also telling that they best in business and all of that . Campus was also good because for new student there was a separate campus so that was good thing.
