PGIMS Rohtak Courses and Fees

PGIMS Rohtak Admission Process

PGIMS Rohtak uses NEET scores for all clinical programmes. The institute does not conduct a separate college entrance test and does not offer a management quota for MBBS, BDS, MD or MS.

MBBS Admission

For MBBS, students must pass Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum aggregate is 50%, or 45% for SC, ST and OBC students as per NMC norms. A qualifying NEET UG score is also required.

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Seats are allotted through MCC counselling at mcc.nic.in. In NEET UG 2026 Round 2, the General category closing rank was 4,430.
• 85% Haryana State Quota: DGHS Haryana conducts this counselling. Haryana domicile is needed for most state quota categories. The NEET UG 2025 AIQ OC closing rank at PGIMS Rohtak was 7,588.
• SC, OBC, EWS and PwD candidates have separate category-wise closing ranks under AIQ and state quota.

BDS Admission

BDS admission follows the same counselling pattern and eligibility route as MBBS. Seats are filled under AIQ through MCC and under state quota through DGHS Haryana. NEET UG rank decides seat allotment across counselling rounds.

MD, MS, and MDS Admission

For PG clinical admission, students need an MBBS or BDS degree from an NMC-recognised institution and must complete the compulsory rotating internship. A valid NEET PG score is mandatory.

• MCC PG counselling fills 50% AIQ seats, while DGHS Haryana fills the remaining 50% state quota seats.
• GATE scores are not accepted for MD or MS. NEET PG is the only valid exam for these courses.

DM and M.Ch Admission

DM and M.Ch seats at PGIMS Rohtak are allotted through NEET SS. Students must hold a valid MD or MS degree in the related parent specialisation. MCC conducts counselling for these super-speciality seats.

Allied Health and Nursing Admission

B.Sc Nursing, BPT, B.Pharm and other paramedical courses admit students through CUET, PBDSUHS entrance tests or merit-based state counselling. Students need Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 45% aggregate.

PGIMS Rohtak Career Outcomes

PGIMS Rohtak does not follow the usual campus placement model. MBBS students mainly move towards NEET PG preparation, Haryana government health services or jobs in private hospitals. The attached hospital gives students steady clinical exposure during training.

Many MBBS graduates prepare for MD or MS through NEET PG. Others join Haryana government health services as Medical Officers or work in private hospitals in the NCR region. Some graduates also choose USMLE or PLAB routes for work abroad.

PGIMS Rohtak Campus and Infrastructure

PGIMS Rohtak runs on a 350-acre integrated medical campus in Rohtak, Haryana. The campus has medical and dental colleges, nursing and pharmacy schools, a central library with more than 40,000 volumes, smart lecture theatres, research laboratories and a sports complex with a cricket stadium and football grounds.

The attached Pt. BD Sharma Government Medical College and Hospital has more than 1,600 beds. Its OPD sees 10,000 to 14,000 patients per day. PGIMS Rohtak vs MAMC Delhi vs GMCH Chandigarh

Students looking at PGIMS Rohtak often compare it with Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, and Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh. All three are government medical colleges in north India with competitive NEET cutoffs and strong hospital facilities.

MAMC Delhi and GMCH Chandigarh usually have much lower AIQ closing ranks because Delhi and Chandigarh UT domicile seats are highly competitive and their state quotas are smaller. PGIMS Rohtak can be more reachable for high-scoring Haryana domicile students under the state quota, where ranks are usually higher because there are more seats and a smaller candidate pool. Among the three, only PGIMS Rohtak has a ranked dental school, which helps BDS and MDS aspirants. All three offer government-rate fees and strong hospital exposure.
