After passing your final year you are awarded an opportunity for an internship, you can get a stipend of up to 35,000 based on the year you passed the exam. After getting a degree you need to register yourself with KMC and get yourself a license for practice.

Remarks:

First of all, you need to clear a cut-off rank of around 23000 to get into HIMS. Through neet of course, after which you need to apply for an eligibility certificate provided by RGUHS itself with a mere charge of 2000.

After graduation, u can go for a job like a medical officer or u can go for higher education like MS or Ms. it’s like not where u will get the direct opportunities from college u have to take various entrance exams.

Remarks:

About academics it is very good teachers and departments are strict and provide good support to students for study. Teachers are experienced and with good knowledge. Labs are good. The library is also good and has all books. The bad thing about college is the campus. College doesn’t have any playground so we have to go outside to play sports and also don’t have indoor game facilities. The market and shops are 500 meters far from campus. About the cultural program college has a descent auditorium but the programs are average as students have organised all the things the college does not provide any support for.

Internship is given on campus hospital for a mandatory period of 12 months also a stipend is given of above 30k per month. Skills are the major point of doing an internship in this college. Doctors play a huge role in maintaining discipline and persistence for the development of clinical behaviour.

Remarks:

My college has some good points to it but quite a few negative one too. To start the discussion, cut off for general category is around 20000 AIR for SC 120000 First, you need to score a decent number in need around 600 or maybe more.

You need to pass the final year exam or pass the supplementary exam, then you are promoted to an intern with a monthly salary of 33000/- for a year. Each of the students undergo an internship. After completing the internship you will be provided with a graduation degree. After which you will have to apply for KMC registration in RGUHS to practice clinical knowledge.

Remarks:

To get admission to HIMS Hassan as I was a non-Karnataka resident, I needed to have an eligibility certificate provided by RGUHS, Bangalore itself. I paid 2000 for the certificate. The closing rank is nearly 21000 AIR and fluctuates each year. I joined late so didn't undergo any orientation program so I found out everything about the admission process all by myself, make no mistake if you have been allotted a seat in Karnataka College you need to have the eligibility certificate along with that you need a medical certificate of any certified doctor.

After completing 4 years of the course we can do the internship in the same teaching hospital. The salary for an intern is about 30000 which comes directly from the government. For MBBS there is nothing as such of campus placements.

Remarks:

It was a nearby college in my home town. For my marks of 611 in neet, this was the best government college I would get. The admission process was online through KEA. I got into this college through all rounds of application procedures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is all decided by CBME as they have implemented a competency-based curriculum it's been helping to good in all aspects of theory and particles. As I mentioned earlier academics have always been the priority in this college, as it should be in any other medical college. Faculties are pretty strict about academics but friendly too so it's not a big matter to cope with them they will help you in all aspects for sure. As scholarships are based on families' annual income and category I would rather not stress much about it; as it is a govt. College you can avail most of the scholarships. The annual tuition fee is 60,000. hostel deposit of 15,000? monthly mess fees of 3,500-4,000? and additional fees in the college of 10,000.

Remarks:

Goods supportive lectures, I knew this college was supportive in all aspects as my brother graduated from the same college so he guided me through it. I got all kinds of exposure here, Clinical it's a good college to be in, coming to academics it's been always academic-oriented from day one I would rather not stress about it you will get to know about it once you get into any medical colleges. Cons I would say the patient flow is less compared to other colleges it is sufficient enough to keep you busy but not as much as other colleges in Karnataka. There is no interview as such you can get admission Directly through counselling Of KEA/MCC. As it's one of the top 10 colleges cutoff for GM might be 615+.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the faculty here are top professors n doctors. Timely exams are conducted. There is no issue of fee or hikes because this is a govt institution n fees are all by govt rules n regulations. U can avail govt scholarships if you are eligible like SSP or NSP. Some of the faculty here are biased due to their high ego. But teaching wise they are very good.

Remarks:

I got into this college by writing the NEET entrance and after counselling. I selected this college because it comes in the top 5 in Karnataka state n it has a good govt hospital with all facilities.
