Sion Hospital Review

What I Liked

Faculty is good, experienced and also helpful
Patient inflow is high so there is so much to learn in clinical postings

What I didn’t like

Campus and hostels could've been better as the rent is not affordable outside the college
Infrastructure should be reformed as the place is too crowded

Placement Experience:

Degree is given after the compulsory internship of one year at the same college. After which there is bond of 1 year which can be completed later if you wish to do postgraduation. According to bond you have to serve in rural or government hospital as medical officer.

Remarks:

The college has good reputation for high patient inflow which is considered good for studying mbbs. Academically this is a very good college for its lectures and clinical exposure. It is one of the top colleges of the Maharshtra state and Mumbai.

All about Medical life

What I Liked

The teaching in the college is top notch. Even the infrastructure is well maintained. It has all the equipments needed for a student for proper guidance.

What I didn’t like

The area of the campus is pretty small. And the college should make available hostel facilities for first year students too as it is too expensive to rent out a flat in Mumbai.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4.5 years of MBBS we need to do an internship of one year in the same hospital. After which I might opt for Master. I am interested in opting for surgery as my master’s major as I am looking for a skilled major.

Remarks:

I appeared for NEET 2023 in which I scored 636/720. I had secured an AIR of 11000 due to which I was admitted into this prestigious university (LTMMC) which is amongst the top medical colleges in Maharashtra.
