SAIMS Admission Dates 2026

The remaining counselling activities for the 2026-27 session are being conducted in separate rounds by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, and the Directorate General of Health Services. The ongoing schedules for undergraduate and postgraduate admission are listed below.

SAIMS Courses and Fees

Medical education at SAIMS covers undergraduate, postgraduate, super-specialty, nursing, and science programmes. Unless a different quota is named, the figures below follow the current General Quota fee schedule.

SAIMS is among the private medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh that provide both DM and M.Ch options along with a full range of MD and MS courses. Its M.Sc Clinical Embryology programme serves the expanding field of assisted reproduction.

SAIMS Admission Process

Entrance examination scores and the relevant counselling authority determine admission to SAIMS. The applicable examination changes with the programme level, while eligibility and seat allotment must be completed before joining.

MBBS Admission

NEET UG scores are compulsory for MBBS admission. The Directorate General of Health Services manages the All India Quota, while the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, conducts State Quota counselling.

1. Students must complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and obtain at least 50% marks. The minimum is 40% for SC, ST, and OBC students.
2. They must qualify for NEET UG, which is held annually by the National Testing Agency.
3. Students register for the relevant counselling process. DGHS fills 15% of the seats through the All India Quota, while MP DME fills 85% through the State Quota.
4. Applicants enter their college choices and take part in seat allotment according to their NEET UG rank.
5. Those allotted a seat complete document checks, fee payment, and admission formalities at SAIMS.

NRI Quota seats are also available and are handled separately by the institute.

MD and MS Admission

Admission to MD and MS programmes depends on NEET PG scores. Seats are shared between the All India Quota and the MP State Quota, with specialization-wise allotment conducted through DGHS and DME Madhya Pradesh counselling.

1. Applicants must hold an MBBS degree, complete the required internship, and possess NMC registration.
2. They must appear for and qualify in NEET PG.
3. Qualified applicants register for either AIQ or MP State Quota counselling and submit their preferred specializations.
4. After allotment, students report to SAIMS and finish document verification and fee payment.

INI-CET is a separate route for AIIMS and JIPMER candidates. SAIMS admits students to its MD and MS courses only through NEET PG counselling.

DM and M.Ch Admission

Students seeking DM or M.Ch admission must qualify through NEET SS, conducted separately by NTA. The institute announces seats by specialty, and counselling follows the NBE-NEET SS calendar.

DNB Admission

The National Board of Examinations processes admission to DNB programmes.

SAIMS Cutoffs

SAIMS MBBS closing ranks depend on the counselling round, available seats, and the number of NEET applicants. During 2026 MP State Quota counselling, the General category closing rank moved from 66,211 in Round 1 to 79,400 in Round 3 as the rounds progressed. OBC, SC, and ST cutoffs are generally lower.

SAIMS Placements and Career Outcomes

Medical graduates from SAIMS generally follow professional training and employment routes instead of conventional campus recruitment. Most MBBS graduates prepare for NEET PG and enter MD or MS programmes. After completing the compulsory internship, others may join government health services, work in public health, or begin private practice.

SAIMS Campus and Infrastructure

SAIMS occupies a 70-acre campus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as part of the Sri Aurobindo Group. Sri Aurobindo Medical College and PGI Hospital serves as its main teaching hospital. The hospital has a large inpatient bed capacity and provides clinical instruction through all departments.

Students have access to 7 lecture theatres, each accommodating 180 to 300 people. Academic facilities also include computer labs, research laboratories for individual departments, and a library holding 19,945 books and 157 medical journals. Separate hostels for men and women, sports facilities, and a cafeteria are located on the campus.

The teaching hospital contains super-specialty centres for Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, and Oncology. These centres expose MBBS and postgraduate students to tertiary care cases. A Clinical Embryology laboratory supports both the M.Sc programme and the hospital’s IVF and reproductive medicine services.

SAIMS Scholarships

Eligible SAIMS students can apply for scholarship support offered through Madhya Pradesh and central government schemes. Assistance may cover tuition fees, maintenance costs, or a fixed yearly amount, depending on the programme.

MMVY can reimburse part of the private medical college tuition paid by an eligible MP-domicile MBBS student. Qualification depends on Class 12 marks and the student’s NEET rank.
