Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) began in 1997 as a private engineering college in Ballari (Bellary), Karnataka. BITM Ballari Admission Process

Admission requirements differ by programme. KEA counselling is used for eligible BE, MBA and MCA seats, while VTU oversees doctoral selection. The college separately processes management and NRI quota applications.

BE Admission

Government and university seats in the BE programmes are assigned through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) merit list. As a VTU-affiliated college, BITM participates in the centralised counselling organised by KEA.

For the MBA, applicants need a valid Karnataka PGCET score from the KEA-conducted examination or a KMAT Karnataka score. MCA applicants must have a valid PGCET score. Both courses use KEA's centralised counselling timetable. MBA eligibility requires a recognised bachelor's degree with at least 50%. MCA candidates need at least 50% in a bachelor's degree that includes Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

PhD Admission

VTU conducts doctoral admission through the VTU PhD Entrance Test. An applicant must hold a master's degree in the relevant engineering or science field with at least 55% or an equivalent CGPA. Final selection combines the VTU entrance score with a research aptitude interview held at BITM.

BITM Ballari Campus and Infrastructure
