EPGI Admission Dates 2026

EPGI follows different admission calendars for medical, engineering, and management courses. NEET UG 2026 is used for MBBS and B.Sc Nursing, KCET and COMEDK UGET are used for BE, and Karnataka PGCET is used for MBA and MCA.

MBBS and BE management quota seats are filled directly by the respective colleges after MCC, KEA, and other applicable counselling rounds. Candidates can apply for management quota seats at admissions.eastpoint.ac.in.

EPGI Courses and Fees

EPGI has more than 60 courses in medicine, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management, and allied health. The table lists general or government quota fees where applicable. MBBS management quota fees are much higher than the state quota fee.

The INR 2.35 Lakhs fee for BE ECE, ISE, and IoT courses applies to KCET-allotted seats under the Karnataka government-regulated fee structure.

EPGI Admission Process

Admission at EPGI depends on the course and the college under the group. Most seats are filled through national or Karnataka state-level entrance exams and counselling bodies.

MBBS Admission (EPCMSR)

EPCMSR is affiliated to RGUHS and recognised by NMC. Students must qualify NEET UG for MBBS admission.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with PCB and English, minimum 50% aggregate, and minimum age of 17 years
• NEET UG qualifying percentile: 50th for General/EWS and 40th for SC/ST/OBC
• 15% seats: AIQ route through MCC counselling at mcc.nic.in
• 85% seats: Karnataka state quota through KEA NEET counselling
• Management quota: Filled directly by EPCMSR after MCC and KEA rounds. NEET UG qualification is compulsory

BE Admission (EPCET)

EPCET is affiliated to VTU, approved by AICTE, and participates in COMEDK counselling.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics plus one optional subject, with minimum 45% aggregate. SC/ST Karnataka candidates need 40%
• KCET route: For Karnataka domicile candidates through KEA counselling
• COMEDK UGET route: For all-India candidates through COMEDK counselling
• Lateral entry: Open to diploma holders with 45% aggregate in a 3-year Diploma course

BE specialisations at EPCET include CSE, AI and ML, CS (Data Science), ECE, Information Science and Engineering (ISE), Civil Engineering, and IoT and Cyber Security.

MBA and MCA Admission

For MBA, EPGI accepts Karnataka PGCET, KMAT Karnataka, CAT, and MAT scores. Seat allotment is done through KEA counselling for all these routes. MCA admission is based only on Karnataka PGCET. MBA applicants need graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate, while MCA applicants need graduation with a Mathematics or Computer Science background.

EPGI Placements

Placement work at EPGI is mainly handled through EPCET and the management college. More than 300 companies have taken part in campus hiring. EPCET engineering graduates reported an average CTC of INR 6.5 LPA, and the highest recent offer stood at INR 25 LPA.

EPCET engineering recruiters come from IT, ITES, and core engineering fields. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and L and T Technology Services are among the confirmed recruiters for VTU-affiliated Bengaluru colleges, including EPCET. Students from medical, nursing, and pharmacy courses usually move into government service, private hospitals, or postgraduate entrance preparation after completing their degrees.

EPGI Scholarships

EPGI students can apply for state and central government scholarships based on category, domicile, income, and admission route. The institution also has an internal merit scholarship.

EPGI Campus and Infrastructure

EPGI Jnanaprabha Campus is spread over more than 100 acres at Bidarahalli, Virgo Nagar Post, Off Old Madras Road, Bengaluru 560049. The same green campus has the medical college, teaching hospital, engineering college, pharmacy college, nursing colleges, and allied health colleges.

Separate boys and girls hostels are available on campus. Hostel fees range from INR 57,800 to INR 92,800 per year, based on the room type. Students also have access to a central library, EPCET computing labs, a medical simulation lab, a dedicated dental clinic, and sports and recreation facilities.

The EPCMSR teaching hospital supports clinical training for MBBS, nursing, physiotherapy, and allied health students. Across all its colleges, EPGI has a total student strength of over 10,000.

EPGI vs Vydehi Medical vs NHCE

Students looking at EPGI in Bengaluru often compare its MBBS option with Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (VIMS) and its engineering option with New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE). These institutions attract a similar student group in Bengaluru.

EPGI's main advantage is that medicine, engineering, nursing, and pharmacy are available under one group and within one campus system. Vydehi is mainly focused on medical and paramedical education. NHCE is an engineering-focused college in Bengaluru with COMEDK admissions and industry links.
