CiTech admission for the 2026-27 academic session follows KCET 2026 and COMEDK 2026 schedules for the relevant seats. Spot round admission activity is continuing in September 2026.

CiTech Courses and Fees

CiTech offers UG, PG, and doctoral study options, mainly in Engineering and Management. Its main undergraduate course is BE, which is available in eight branches. The fees below are based on official data for the 2026 academic year.

AI and Machine Learning, IoT and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, and Data Science are among the newer BE specialisations at CiTech. These courses were added to match industry needs in Bengaluru, especially in the Whitefield, Manyata, and Electronic City corridors near the K.R. Puram campus.

CiTech Admission Process

Admission at CiTech depends on the programme and the route chosen by the student. BE admission is linked to Karnataka state counselling and private college entrance routes, while PG courses use exams such as KMAT, PGCET, GATE, MAT, and CAT where applicable.

BE Admission

KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) manages the state-level process for BE seats. CiTech admits students through KCET for government seats and also has Management Quota seats.

• Eligibility: Students need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised board, with at least 45% aggregate. Reserved category students need 40%
• Entrance exams accepted: KCET / COMEDK / JEE Main / Management Quota direct
• Selection stages: KCET or COMEDK score, online choice filling, KEA counselling rounds, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment

CiTech fills NRI and Management Quota seats directly through the college. Selection is based on 10+2 merit and KCET/JEE Main score. Recent KCET cutoff trends show that CiTech CSE usually closes in the 10,000 to 25,000 KCET rank range for General category students, so many Karnataka applicants can consider it.

MBA Admission

For MBA, CiTech accepts KMAT Karnataka or PGCET scores. National-level scores such as MAT and CAT are also accepted. Students must have graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate. Shortlisting is based on scores, followed by a personal interview at the institute.

MCA and M.Tech Admission

MCA admission is through Karnataka PGCET, which means PG Common Entrance Test, or through the direct management quota. Students must have completed graduation with a Mathematics background. M.Tech admission in CSE and VLSI and Embedded Systems is based on GATE or PGCET. Applicants need BE or B.Tech in the relevant branch with 55% aggregate. GATE-qualified M.Tech students can receive the AICTE stipend of INR 12,400 per month.

CiTech Placements

CiTech has a Training and Placement Cell that handles campus hiring for final-year students. In 2025 placements, the highest salary package reached INR 53.50 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 7.2 LPA. More than 200 companies took part, and students across batches received 790+ multiple offers.

For the 2024 placement season, 557 students registered. The institute reported a high placement rate, a highest package of INR 27 LPA, and an average package of INR 7.5 LPA. CSE and AI-ML students received the strongest placement outcomes, followed by ECE and EEE students placed in embedded systems and semiconductor roles.

Samsung, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Bosch, Intel, Amazon, Adobe, and Microsoft are confirmed recruiters at CiTech. Most offers come from IT services companies. Core engineering roles in manufacturing and electronics are also available for Mechanical, EEE, and ECE graduates.

CiTech Rankings

CiTech has NAAC A+ Grade accreditation, along with NBA accreditation for four B.E. programmes. India Today Engineering Rankings 2025 placed the college at 213th in India and 14th in Bangalore. The Week 2025 ranked it 144th in India and 17th in Bangalore.

CiTech has NBA accreditation for CSE, ECE, EEE, and ISE, which stands for Information Science and Engineering. Its NIRF Innovation Band 101-150 recognition is linked to research and startup work. The institute does not currently submit for NIRF Engineering or University rankings, so it has no NIRF Engineering rank.

CiTech Campus and Infrastructure

CiTech is spread across 16 acres at Krishnarajapuram (K.R. Puram), Bengaluru, next to Old Madras Road. The campus has dedicated blocks for engineering departments, computing and electronics labs, a central library, seminar halls, and a separate administrative block. K.R. Puram railway station is 5 km away, and the college is connected to central Bengaluru by road.

Male and female students have separate hostel facilities on or near the campus. Hostel fees can go up to INR 1.5 lakhs per year. The campus also includes sports grounds, a gym, a medical room, and cafeteria facilities. CiTech runs innovation labs for IoT, AI, and robotics under its NIRF Innovation Centre designation, helping students with project work and startup incubation.

CiTech vs CMRIT vs New Horizon College of Engineering

Students looking at VTU-affiliated private engineering colleges in the Whitefield-K.R. Puram side of Bengaluru often compare CiTech with CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) and New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE). All three colleges admit students through routes such as KCET and COMEDK and attract applicants in similar cutoff ranges.

CiTech, CMRIT, and NHCE all have NAAC A+ accreditation, VTU affiliation, and locations in east Bengaluru's technology zone. CiTech is close to K.R. Puram and Old Madras Road. CMRIT is nearer to the ITPL tech park. NHCE, located at Marathahalli, suits students looking at Outer Ring Road technology companies. Students usually choose among these colleges based on location preference and the seat available in their KCET counselling round.
