JIET Courses and Fees

JIET Jodhpur offers 30+ programmes in engineering, design, management, nursing, hospitality, and pharmacy. The total course fee starts at INR 4.05 Lakhs for D.Pharm and goes up to INR 10.41 Lakhs for B.Tech and B.Des.

B.Tech at JIET is offered in eight branches, including AI and ML, Data Science, and Cyber Security. The MBA course has six specialisations, which adds to the institute's wider course mix in western Rajasthan.

JIET Admission Process

JIET Jodhpur mainly uses JEE Main and the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) for admission to UG engineering courses. Students who have not taken a national-level exam can also appear for the institute's own admission test for direct entry.

B.Tech Admission

• Eligibility: Students need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 45% aggregate for the General Category
• Exam: Admission is through JEE Main at the national level or REAP, the Rajasthan state counselling process
• Selection stages: Shortlisting through JEE/REAP score, choice filling and seat allotment, document checking, admission confirmation, and fee payment
• Lateral Entry B.Tech: Diploma holders from a relevant branch can enter directly into the second year through REAP Lateral counselling for the 3-year route

JIET usually has JEE Main cutoffs in the lower percentile bands for General Category because of its open admission approach. REAP closing ranks are declared every year after counselling and differ by branch and category.

MBA Admission

• Eligibility: A bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% aggregate
• Exam: A valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT score is accepted. Students without a national score may take the JIET aptitude test
• Selection stages: Score-based shortlist, Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), merit list, document verification, and admission

MCA and M.Tech Admission

• MCA eligibility: Graduation with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level, along with 50% aggregate
• M.Tech eligibility: B.Tech in the relevant branch with 55%. A GATE score is preferred, though merit-based admission is also available

Design, Nursing, and Other UG Programmes

For B.Des, students must have 50% in 10+2 and qualify through a design aptitude test or UCEED/NID DAT score. B.Sc Nursing and D.Pharm need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), with at least 45% aggregate. BBA, BCA, and B.Sc (Hospitality) admissions are directly based on Class 12 merit.

JIET Placements

In the latest placement season, JIET Jodhpur reported a highest package of INR 33 LPA and an average package of INR 7 LPA. More than 220 companies visited the campus, and 500+ students were placed.

Most hiring came from technology and analytics roles. Companies from IT, BFSI, manufacturing, and logistics recruited students from B.Tech and MBA courses. CSE, AI-ML, and Data Science students received the strongest individual offers among engineering branches.

MBA and MCA students got roles in business analytics, consulting, and enterprise IT. B.Des placement opportunities are mainly in fashion, media, and design studios in Rajasthan and the NCR region. JIET also has a 12,000+ alumni network that helps graduating students through industry referrals.

JIET Scholarships

JIET gives scholarship support through four broad routes, including tuition fee waivers, government schemes, and corporate merit scholarships. Eligible students can get up to 100% tuition fee concession through institutional and AICTE-linked support.

AICTE-linked scholarships are adjusted against the yearly tuition fee and are credited directly to the student's account. Students must submit scholarship documents during admission to be considered for the same academic year.

JIET Campus and Infrastructure

JIET has a 45-acre campus on NH-62, Pali Road, Mogra, about 10 km from central Jodhpur. The campus has engineering labs, design studios, a pharmacy lab, a nursing simulation lab, and a hotel kitchen training facility for hospitality students.

The central library includes 50,000+ volumes and 200 journals. Students also get digital learning access through NPTEL and other e-learning platforms. The AICTE-IDEA Lab supports innovation and entrepreneurship work. AI, IoT, and VLSI design labs are available for advanced CSE and ECE learning. The campus also has solar power systems and rainwater harvesting facilities.

The hostels can house 1,200 students in separate blocks for boys and girls. Facilities include Wi-Fi, mess service, and recreation rooms. Sports facilities include cricket grounds, football fields, and indoor arenas. The NCC unit and student clubs support co-curricular activities during the academic year.

JIET vs Arya College of Engineering vs Poornima College of Engineering

JIET Jodhpur, Arya College of Engineering and IT in Jaipur, and Poornima College of Engineering in Jaipur are comparable private engineering colleges in Rajasthan. Students usually enter these institutes through JEE Main and REAP counselling with similar score ranges.

Among the three, JIET Jodhpur has wider programme diversity because it offers B.Des, B.Sc Nursing, and Hospitality along with engineering. Arya College and Poornima have strong engineering profiles in Jaipur and mainly serve students from eastern Rajasthan. Students comparing these colleges usually look at location, branch, fee, and placement outcomes for the specific course they want.
