SVPEC Admission Dates 2027

The next B.Tech admission process is expected to follow the AP EAPCET schedule managed by APSCHE. The available future schedule is given below.

Entrance requirements differ by programme. APSCHE manages counselling for government-quota B.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Tech seats. SVPEC directly handles BBA, BCA and management-quota admissions.

SVPEC Courses and Fees

SVPEC provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, management and computer applications. Its eight B.Tech branches share a combined approved intake of 522 seats, and the total fee is the same for every B.Tech branch.

The M.Tech portfolio includes IT-focused options such as Communication Systems, CSE and Technology, and VLSI and Embedded Systems. Its core engineering streams include Machine Design, Industrial Engineering, Power System and Automation, Structural Engineering and Transportation Engineering.

SVPEC Admission Process

Admission at SVPEC depends on the chosen course and seat category. APSCHE counselling fills government-quota seats, while the college manages direct and management-quota applications.

B.Tech Admission

The approved B.Tech intake is 522 seats across eight branches. APSCHE fills 70% of these seats under the government quota, and SVPEC fills the remaining 30% through the management quota.

• Applicants must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. General and OBC students need at least 45%, while SC and ST students need 40%. The student must be 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
• Government-quota selection uses the AP EAPCET rank, followed by APSCHE registration, certificate checking, web-option selection, seat allotment, online self-reporting and reporting at the college.

1. Appear for AP EAPCET and obtain a valid rank.
2. Register for APSCHE counselling and complete certificate verification.
3. Enter preferred colleges and courses during web-option selection.
4. Check the seat-allotment result and complete self-reporting.
5. Report to SVPEC with the required documents to confirm admission.

In the 2025 AP EAPCET data for the General category, the closing ranks were 58,669 for CSE, 61,788 for AI and Data Science, 55,662 for ECE, 99,709 for Civil Engineering, 51,054 for Mechanical Engineering and 1,19,585 for EEE.

PG Programmes, MBA, MCA and M.Tech

APSCHE uses AP ICET, the Integrated Common Entrance Test for management and computer applications, to admit MBA and MCA students under the government quota. Government-quota M.Tech admission is based on GATE or PGECET and the related APSCHE counselling process.

• MBA applicants need any bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. AP ICET qualification is necessary for a government-quota seat.
• MCA applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and should have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 or degree level. They must also qualify AP ICET.
• M.Tech applicants need a relevant B.Tech or B.E. degree with at least 50% marks. A valid GATE or PGECET result is required for government-quota admission.

BBA and BCA Admission

Neither BBA nor BCA requires a compulsory entrance examination at SVPEC. The college accepts direct applications and selects students according to their 10+2 marks.

SVPEC Placements

SVPEC’s Training and Placement Cell recorded more than 1,879 placements during 2024-2026. Packages offered by recruiters ranged from INR 3.25 LPA to INR 6.75 LPA, with the highest 2025 offer reaching INR 6.75 LPA. Hiring companies represented IT services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, BFSI and other sectors.

CSE, ECE and AI-stream students are the main candidates hired by IT companies such as Tech Mahindra and Cognizant. Royal Enfield, Swaraj Mazda and Johnson Lifts recruit from core branches, including Mechanical, EEE and Civil Engineering. Divis Labs, a major pharmaceutical company headquartered in Visakhapatnam, is another notable regional employer.

SVPEC Campus and Infrastructure

The SVPEC campus in Visakhapatnam is linked to the city by road. Students can use public transport or the college transport fleet, which operates across important parts of Visakhapatnam.

Academic facilities include a central library, computing laboratories for individual departments, seminar halls and five Centres of Excellence developed with industry partners. The campus also provides an NSS unit, health centre, sports facilities and separate hostel blocks for male and female students. More than 30 industry MoUs support internships, expert lectures and improvements to laboratories.

SVPEC has produced over 230 research publications in national and international journals and conferences. It has also filed or published more than 150 patents. More than 20 faculty members hold doctoral qualifications. The institution is ISO certified and has received an A grade in two NAAC accreditation cycles. Eligible SC, ST, BC, EWS and minority students can seek support through the Andhra Pradesh government fee reimbursement programme and the National Scholarship Portal.

SVPEC vs GVP College of Engineering vs ANITS

Students with AP EAPCET ranks between 50,000 and 1,30,000 may compare SVPEC with GVP College of Engineering, also known as Gayatri Vidya Parishad, and Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences, or ANITS. All three are private autonomous institutions in the Visakhapatnam region. SVPEC is affiliated with Andhra University, while GVP College of Engineering and ANITS are affiliated with JNTUK.

GVP College of Engineering has a NAAC A+ grade and a stronger history of participation in NIRF. ANITS is close to the Bheemunipatnam industrial zone. For students concerned about cost, SVPEC offers a lower fee band along with an autonomous degree under Andhra University.
