"SCSIT best college for MCA in Indore"

What I Liked

The college infrastructure is good, the classrooms are well organised have projectors comfortable benches well lighting.
Faculties are highly experienced and qualified and they teach every concept in best way possible.

What I didn’t like

Some faculties are not punctual at our time but now the Hod is changed now there is strictness regarding punctuality and academics.
Campus life is also good college conduct fest every year but there is no encouragement to students from college side to participate and to get involved in the fest.

Placement Experience:

There is no such criteria for the placements but almost every company demands above 60% aggregate score during the course. There is central placement cell that means all the technical College under DAVV such as IIPS, SCSIT, IET DAVV all students of these colleges appear for the placements so there are huge number of students appearing in the companies and competition is high but around 25 to 30 companies visits every year such as Accenture, Infosys, GammaStack and many MNCs and local companies. The highest package was 12 LPA and average package was 4 LPA. Around 50 % students get placed for every batch as the number of students is very high. It is my placement year and companies started visiting if i got selected then it well and good and if not i will try off campus opportunities.

Remarks:

I choose this college because first of all this college is one of the best college in Madhya Pradesh and specially for Computer Science streams the placements in this college are pretty good. If you have a good percentage in your previous degree course then you can easily get admission in through the MP DTE counseling rounds, if you have above 75% then there are high changes that you may get admission directly in counseling rounds. If you really want admission but don't have a good percentage then you have to give the exam named DAVV CET for admission to its MCA program. The test is in English and consists of 75 multiple choice questions. The test is 90 minutes long, The test is conducted online, The test is computer-based. Cut off depends upon the number of students appearing in examination for that particular course. There is no GD/PI round.

What I Liked

About the college infrastructure we have a very huge campus area which comprises of a teaching building , a park nearby our own college building and a huge parking lot which is very great .
About the faculty the faculty is so much good and friendly unless you don't do anything to piss them off .

What I didn’t like

The one thing I dislike most about the college infrastructure and campus is that the garden is not full of flowers and many more exciting things that all.
Theres nothing about faculty which I dislike .

Placement Experience:

Our college do offer placement and job opportunities for atleast a huge number of students yet the on campus placement do have some sort of eligibility criteria for every student meaning that they should at least be eligible for the optical campus placement company to get enrolled in the placement procedure further .

Remarks:

The factors which drove me to the decision to choose this college are that I wanted to enrol for graduation so that I can achieve a certification on particular program and to become eligible for any particular job opportunity that are available for any graduate candidate and so well so far this college is also providing me with all the resources that I wanted to have in my college period time for meeting the actual personality development, chances for engagement in other activities as well . So this college provided me with great particular resources till now .

A complete review of SCSIT, Davv

What I Liked

The faculty is knowledgeable and very supportive, the overall academic experience of the college is quite good and as the college is autonomous the exams are also not very hard and it's quite easy to score good
The college is not very strict, there is no dress code and the attendance requirement is also not very high thus the college life does not feel suffocating like some other colleges.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure is not very nice but it is still far better from what you can expect from a government college. Still a lot of infrastructural improvement is needed.
The college does not have any societies or clubs, there was only one club which was closed recently. Thus apart from academics the college lacks extra curricular activities. The fests are also not very big and grand they are decent however when you remember this is a government college.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is average, but most of the companies require a post graduate degree therefore very less students get placement after completing BCA however you can pursue MCA after which there are some decent placement opportunities.

Remarks:

The main factor for choosing this college is this is a University Teaching Department of DAVV university which is one the best universities in the state. Admission is based on the CUET exam scores, and the cutoffs are moderate thus a lot of preparation is not required, also some vacant seats are also filled through College level counselling which occurs after the CUET counselling

My life at DAVV SCSIT

Placement Experience:

The placement criteria is very use here are many companies can work placement like deloit Infosys dice and many other companies come for placement has the criteria of placement you have to secure 8.5 CGPA when you will be able to sit every companies placement and the maximum package is 12 lpa and the average package would be 7 to 8 lbs

Remarks:

I choosen this college because it's placements and the company that come here for placements because here many multi national company come for placements and in SCSIT DAVV there is Mst tests in mid of semester

What I Liked

Campus and infrastructure is good and some of the faculty is excellent and the college life and events is awesome.Sports facilities is good.

What I didn’t like

Most of the the computer lab computers is outdated and the cource curriculum is outdated .In course the new technologies is not present leading to a potential mismatch between student skill and industry demands after graduation.

Placement Experience:

Companies visiting LTI, Cognizant, FICo, Cognam Technologies, Systango Deutsche Bank, etc with the highest offer of 6.5 LPA from LTI and the average offer of around 3 LPA.60 - 70% of students have job offers. My plan after getting a degree is to pursue my job and learn new skills according to the IT market.

Remarks:

I selected this college due to its reputation as the best in my state and good placement history. The admission process is simple you can not clear any exam for admission, the faculty at the college is generally helpful and possesses a huge knowledge base but some of the faculty members may not have the best teaching style.
