ICFAI Business School (IBS), Mumbai began operations in 1995 as a private business school. It functions under the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a UGC-recognised deemed-to-be university, and its programme has AICTE approval. The campus address is Hiranandani Knowledge Park, Powai, Mumbai 400076.
The institute belongs to the 9-campus IBS network in India. IBS Mumbai has no separate NIRF ranking, although its parent university, IFHE, takes part in the university-level NIRF rankings. Its Powai location places it beside Hiranandani Gardens and the NITIE campus in one of Mumbai's major technology and knowledge areas. The campus does not provide hostel accommodation.
The complete PGPM fee is INR 8.11 Lakhs. For the Class of 2025, IBS Mumbai recorded a 95% placement rate, an average package of INR 7.89 LPA, and a highest domestic package of INR 20 LPA. More than 300 companies joined the placement process.

The Mumbai campus runs one full-time course, the Post Graduate Programme in Management. PGPM lasts 2 years and uses a residential-style cohort format similar to the structure of a conventional MBA.
| Course | Duration | Eligibility | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management) | 2 years, full-time | Graduation with 50% from a recognised university, along with a valid IBSAT, CAT, GMAT, or GRE score | INR 8.11 Lakhs |
Subject to revision. Kindly check with the official sources to confirm
The course is divided into four semesters. Students choose their specialisation in the second year:
Case-based learning is the main teaching method across these specialisations, supported by the ICFAI University Press case library. The institute also uses its Powai location to involve industry professionals and arrange guest sessions with members of Mumbai's corporate and financial sectors.
Admission to the IBS Mumbai PGPM has two main stages. Students first qualify through an accepted entrance test and then complete the CASE selection round.
Professional experience is not compulsory, so fresh graduates may apply. However, relevant experience of 1 to 3 years receives a modest additional weight when the overall merit score is calculated.
AICTE approves the PGPM, while IFHE, the parent deemed university, recognises the course and awards the degrees.
The PGPM Class of 2025 achieved a 95% placement rate. Its average salary package stood at INR 7.89 LPA, while the highest domestic package was INR 20 LPA. Students in the top 10% received an average of INR 11.97 LPA, compared with INR 10.67 LPA for the top 25%. More than 300 companies took part through campus recruitment, pooled drives, and lateral hiring.
Employers came from BFSI, consulting, FMCG, IT, and media. The institute's location in Powai, close to Mumbai's financial district, supports regular recruiter participation from consulting and BFSI companies.

Most placements are linked to the Finance and Marketing specialisations. Finance students receive opportunities in treasury, credit analysis, and equity research. Marketing roles include channel sales, brand management, and digital marketing. An average of INR 7.89 LPA places IBS Mumbai among the higher-paying institutes in Mumbai's mid-tier MBA segment.
Students can seek merit-linked fee support from IBS Mumbai and use eligible central government scholarship schemes. At admission, the ICFAI Group considers IBSAT, CAT, or GMAT results together with the applicant's academic record for its merit scholarship.
| Scholarship | Who Can Apply | Support Offered |
|---|---|---|
| ICFAI Merit Scholarship | Students assessed through IBSAT, CAT, or GMAT performance and their academic record | A partial tuition fee waiver under IBS scholarship rules |
| NSP Post Matric Scholarship for SC / ST | SC or ST students who have valid NSP registration | The central share is deposited directly into the student's account |
Public sector banks also provide education loans through the IBA Model Education Loan Scheme. These loans can cover the entire PGPM fee, and IBS Mumbai assists students with processing through its partner banks.
IBS Mumbai operates from Hiranandani Knowledge Park, Powai, Mumbai 400076. Powai hosts many technology firms and large companies, giving the business school access to a nearby corporate environment. Road connections link the campus with Andheri (E), BKC, and the Eastern Express Highway.
Facilities in the academic block include classrooms, computing resources, a case-study room, and a management library. Teaching also draws on the central case collection maintained for the IBS network by ICFAI University Press. There is no hostel inside the Mumbai campus, so students generally find housing in Powai or the neighbouring Hiranandani Gardens area.
Students considering private management institutes in Mumbai's mid-tier fee range often assess IBS Mumbai alongside K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management, also called KJ Somaiya, and Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, commonly called Welingkar. Each institute operates in Mumbai and accepts CAT scores. IBS Mumbai charges INR 8.11 Lakhs for its PGPM.

Read Full ReviewAs I had done with my BBA so I decided to further complete my studies with MBA. The teaching method is too good here the teachers gave live examples through case studies and conduct lots of activities In the classes to understand the concept and to indulge everyone with their participation. Here the exams scheduled very frequently other colleges have assignments but this college conduct CEC'S that is continual evaluation just like class test. 2 CEC before mid terms and 2 cec before end term.
The placement opportunities and internships are good but the strength is too high so there is a good competition big 4 comes for placement even the Black rock also the college is good for finance and marketing students but not that much good for HR students. The average package is here is 7 lakhs and highest package is 20 lpa the lowest must be 4 lpa , the international package is 53lpa.
Read Full ReviewThe faculty is extremely good and each faculty will put efforts in their curriculum. You can go meet the faculty if you have issues understanding concepts. There is a continuous course of study and hardly time for you to waste. There are clubs, committees of all kinds. Also, a gym.
Currently I am in my 2nd semester of 1st year and the college has been placing a lot of students for Internships and it’s going really good and in speed. All the news I had heard from my seniors they were all placed in Deloitte, E&Y, Blackrock.
Read Full Reviewthe course and curriculum are perfectly designed keeping all the industry requirements in mind. There are even personal effectiveness management and operational behaviour subjects to train students accordingly.
The IBS has a reputation for placing students. Every year around 95-97% get placed with an average CTC of 8,50,000/- per annum. Around 200 recruiters come to a college campus and they pick a handful of students.
Read Full ReviewThe course is well designed and the faculty over here are so supportive and they help you in every bit. One of the major advantages is the scholarship that they provide to students during their IBSAT entrance.
The placement here is not so good but not so bad too, as huge MNCs and big 4 companies come over here for hiring and they offer a pretty decent package to the students. Also having a different domain company on campus is useful.
Read Full ReviewCourse is very well Formatted and yes i must say that they are good in operations , like they managed 2500 students at one go in such area like mumbai without any chaos. Really impressive. Faculties are also good Fees is okay it is worth ROI
Due to inflation rate increasing and recession the placements are as same as previous years and not increasing but yes, it is okay because, though ROI is fulfilled. They tried a lot to bring big names to campus and also succeeded almost 97 percent of students are placed for internship and 95 percent of students are placed.
