SIU Admission Dates 2026

SIU has different admission routes for different courses. SET is used for BBA, BA, BCA, B.Sc, and other UG programmes. SITEEE or JEE Main is used for B.Tech at SIT. SLAT is required for integrated law courses. SNAP is required for MBA admission across Symbiosis institutes. NEET UG is used for MBBS admission at Symbiosis Medical College for Women.

SIU Courses and Fees

SIU offers more than 311 programmes through 17 constituent institutes. The total programme fee starts at INR 3,70,000 for the base MBA at SIMS and reaches INR 50,70,000 for MBBS at Symbiosis Medical College for Women. The fees below are taken from the SIU fee structure for the 2026-27 cycle.

SIT Pune also offers 3-year B.Tech lateral entry for diploma holders. Lateral entry fees are INR 21,05,500 for CSE and AI-ML, INR 20,30,500 for Electronics, and INR 18,05,500 for Civil, Mechanical, and Robotics. SIU revises fees every year, so students should confirm the current amount on the relevant constituent institute portal before applying.

SIU Admission Process

SIU follows a decentralised admission system. The entrance test makes a student eligible, but each institute completes its own shortlist, interview, document check, and final selection process. The main admission paths are given below.

MBA Admission Process Through SNAP

SNAP is compulsory for all 29 MBA programmes offered through 17 Symbiosis institutes. One SNAP registration allows students to apply to more than one institute. A candidate can take SNAP up to 3 times in one cycle, and the best percentile is used.

• Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks. SC/ST students need 45%. The minimum age is 21. Final-year students can get provisional admission.
• Selection stages: Register for SNAP at snaptest.org, take the SNAP test, get shortlisted institute-wise, and attend Group Exercise, Written Ability Test, and Personal Interview rounds.
• SNAP cutoffs: SIBM Pune usually shortlists General category students at 97 percentile and above. SCMHRD and SIIB Pune usually need 92 to 95 percentile. Other institutes accept scores in the 60 to 80 percentile range.

B.Tech Admission Process at SIT Pune

Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune admits B.Tech students through SITEEE or valid JEE Main scores. SIT does not use the CAP process and releases its own merit list.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
• Selection stages: Submit SITEEE or JEE Main score, check the SIT merit list, complete online document verification, and pay the fee to confirm the seat.
• SET is not accepted for B.Tech. SITEEE is conducted as a separate engineering entrance test.

Law Admission Process Through SLAT

Students who want BA LLB, BBA LLB, or BCom LLB Hons must take SLAT, which means Symbiosis Law Admission Test. SLAT is different from SET and SITEEE and is used for 5-year integrated law programmes at Symbiosis Law School Pune and Noida.

• Eligibility: 10+2 in any stream with minimum 45% marks.
• Selection stages: SLAT, followed by GD-PI at the selected Symbiosis Law School.
• LLB, 3-year, and LLM admissions follow separate law entrance processes.

MBBS Admission at Symbiosis Medical College for Women

MBBS admission is only through NEET UG and MCC counselling for deemed university seats. Students must qualify NEET UG and take part in MCC deemed university counselling rounds. Symbiosis Medical College for Women is the only SIU institution that grants the MBBS degree.

UG Programmes Through SET

SET is used for BBA, BA, BCA, B.Sc, Liberal Arts, and Media programmes offered by SIU constituent institutes. Each institute releases its own merit list, and some programmes may also hold a GD-PI round. The usual eligibility is 10+2 with minimum 45% marks from the relevant stream.

SIU Placements

SIU placement results differ by institute and course. SIBM Pune MBA has the strongest published placement record. For batch 2026, SIBM Pune reported a highest offer of INR 74.84 LPA, an average offer of INR 28.18 LPA, and a median offer of INR 26.04 LPA. The drive had 109 companies and 98 Pre-Placement Offers through summer internships and live projects.

SIBM Pune placements include sectors such as BFSI, consulting, FMCG, IT and ITES, automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing. Recruiters include leading consulting, investment banking, and technology firms. Other SIU institutes, including SIT Pune and Symbiosis Law Schools, publish separate placement data. SIT Pune engineering placements for CSE and IT graduates are in the INR 6 LPA to INR 20 LPA range.

SIU Rankings

SIU is placed in the top 50 in the NIRF Overall and University categories. Its constituent institutes also appear in subject-wise rankings, and the university is listed in QS World University Rankings.

SIU improved its NIRF Overall position by 12 ranks from 2024 to 2025. The university also holds NAAC A++ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.56 out of 4.0.

SIU Campus and Infrastructure

SIU's main campus, Symbiosis Knowledge Village, covers 300 acres at Lavale on the outskirts of Pune, Maharashtra. The campus houses multiple constituent institutes, including SIT, Symbiosis Centre for Health Sciences, and several schools in management, law, and design.

The Knowledge Village has lecture halls, laboratories, a central library, sports facilities, hostels for men and women, a health centre, and a cafeteria. College transport connects the campus with central Pune. SIU also has campuses in Nashik, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Noida, with each campus hosting specific constituent institutes.

SIU has more than 300 international collaborations with universities in 29 countries. The university also has an international student community from SAARC and non-SAARC countries. Its research facilities support PhD work across more than 25 disciplines.

SIU has the strongest MBA placement profile among the three, with SIBM Pune regularly placed among India's top 15 B-schools.
