MDI Gurgaon Admission Process

MDI Gurgaon takes admission to all five full-time PGDM programmes through CAT. There is no direct admission or management quota. Along with WAT-GD-PI, the institute uses a Behavioural Assessment Test (BAT) in its selection process.

PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-BA, PGDM-BFSI

Students need at least 50% marks in Class X, Class XII and graduation. A 3-year bachelor's degree from a recognised university is accepted. Work experience is not compulsory, but it can add value to the final composite score.

  • Stage 1: Students submit CAT 2026 scores through the MDI online application. One common form covers all five PGDM programmes, including MDI Murshidabad seats.
  • Stage 2: MDI shortlists candidates using CAT score and profile factors such as work experience, academic record and diversity.
  • Stage 3: Shortlisted candidates attend WAT, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and BAT at one of the centres in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad or Mumbai.
  • Final selection: The final offer is based on CAT score, WAT-GD-PI-BAT performance, academic merit, work experience and social diversity.

MDI Gurgaon does not release an official CAT cutoff. From earlier admission cycles, the competitive range is usually above 90 percentile overall, and students also need strong section-wise scores in VARC, DILR and QA.

PGDM-IB

PGDM-IB has two extra conditions. Students must hold a 4-year bachelor's degree, as 3-year degrees are not eligible, and they need at least 1 year of post-graduation work experience as of January 2027, based on the tentative cut-off date. NRI candidates can use a valid GMAT score instead of CAT.

Executive PGDM Programmes

Executive PGDM-BM, Executive PGDM-BA and Executive PGDM-PP are meant for candidates with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience. Admission is held in two rounds each year. Candidates can apply with CAT scores from the last 3 years, GMAT scores from the last 5 years or XAT scores from the last 3 years. A 3-year bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate is accepted.

MDI Gurgaon Placements

MDI Gurgaon recorded 100 percent PGDM placements for the 2025 batch. The process placed 555 students through 147 companies, and 67 new recruiters joined the placement drive. The batch also received 148 pre-placement offers.

The highest CTC for the 2025 batch was INR 53.60 Lakhs. The average CTC stood at INR 25.6 LPA as per the placement report. Consulting accounted for 30 percent of offers, followed by BFSI at 25 percent. The top 10 percent of the batch received an average package of INR 40 LPA.
