Government Law College, Mumbai, (GLC Mumbai) is the oldest law school in Asia, founded in the year 1855. GLC Mumbai offers 5 year, 3 year LLB courses along with postgraduate diploma course in Securities Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, postgraduate certificate courses in Human Rights, and Diploma in Cyber Law.
3-Year Law Course admission is open to candidates having any Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mumbai or an equivalent degree from any other University. Students who wish to study the law, rather than to practice as advocates are eligible for the LL.B (General) Degree, after the 4th semester. The 5 Year Law Course, B.L.S. LL.B. admission is open now. BLS + LL.B is an integrated law course with ten semesters. Admission is open to candidates who passed 12th standard examination from any recognized Board. The first and the second year of the five- year course, is considered as ‘Pre- Law’ course. The students completing three years of five-year degree program are awarded the B.L.S. (Bachelor of Legal Science) degree at the end of the third year, and on completion of five years, they will be awarded with the LL.B. degree
GLC Mumbai offers a PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights. It is a one-year course. Admission is open to candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Government Law College, Mumbai also has Diploma in Cyber Law, which is conducted in association with the Asian School of Cyber Law.

- Candidate should appear for MAH-LLB-5 CET exam.

GLC Mumbai PG Diploma in Securities Law Admission 2025
GLC offers Postgraduate Diploma Course in Securities Law Securities Law of 1 year duration. A total of 60 seats available
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having graduation in any discipline with a basic understanding of corporate laws can apply for the course.
Selection Criteria
Candidates were selected on the basis of a personal interviews which will be conducted online by a panel of experts from the college.
How to apply?
Candidates can apply through google form provided, fill it up and attach Statement of Purpose, photo, marksheet, payment slip and annexure at the relevant places given.

GLC Mumbai PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law Admission 2025
GLC, Mumbai offers postgraduation diploma in Intellectual Property Rights. It is a one-year course and has a total of 50 seats available.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates holding bachelor’s degree from any discipline from a UGC recognized University.
Selection Criteria
- Merit List prepared on the basis of marks procured in Final Year of relevant degree examination, provided that the applicants who have completed graduation from any Recognized University other than University of Mumbai will be admitted on merit basis.
How to Apply?
Admission must be taken by the student in person, by submitting the attested photocopies of following documents: –
- Original statements of Marks of Graduation. Candidate who has completed graduation from other than University of Mumbai will also have to submit attested photo copies of the 10th and 12th standard.
- Original Caste Certificate for verification (Except for E.W.S., DEFENCE/EX-SERVICEMAN, DISABLED, ORPHAN)
- Passing Certificate / Degree Certificate or Both.
- Certified copy of document of the date of birth.
- Two recent passport size photographs.
- The candidates completed their graduation from other Universities admitted provisionally shall be required to submit the additional documents/certificates specified by the University of Mumbai.
