Think twice before selecting Panjab University, you will fall in love with the campus

What I Liked

The campus and the city beautiful, Chandigarh is a lovely place by itself.
University Culture and Alumni Network. The university and the department both have a very strong alumni network.

What I didn’t like

Faculty, are majorly involved in internal conflicts, and there is too much politics there between them.
The dominance of Political parties in Campus elections, you will see around 1000 cars on campus during elections, doing nothing just making nonsense.

Placement Experience:

If you want to enter the core chemical job, this college offers you that. But if you are looking for the non-core jobs, you may try your luck off campus, But the plus point is the great alumni base which can help you to reach your dream destination. The maximum package last year was 14 lpa with 9 lpa in hand and in MBA branch it was 6 lpa only. 100% Placement of this college is just a myth, please don't fall in it.

Remarks:

The only thing you need for admission is a JEE Rank, and you need to register via JAC Chandigarh for admission to the college. I took admission as I was a dropper and I planned to do an MBA right after my degree and that's why I picked 5-year program. This college was right in my budget, rank and career preference. Also, being in the heart of Panjab University, the social interactions and other opportunities are very high here.

Good college with pretty good placements and campus like

What I Liked

I life the campus life to be here it’s like you have you are really in a college it’s not like restrictions and all you are free to do anything within the rules
I like the placement stats of my college.The opportunities that are provided are more than enough to get into something

What I didn’t like

The thing i dislike about is that there are cell phone jammers in college so you can’t use your phone can’t even make call in some places it’s really annoying
The second thing I dislike is that the attendance criteria of 75% you have to complete you minimum attendance of 75% otherwise you will not able to write exams and this is soo frustrating

Placement Experience:

Placement are pretty good in this department everyone gets the placement except those who did nothing if just try a little you will get placed. But if you try from the 2nd or 3rd year to get a good placement then you can also grab a very good placement the placement cell is very supportive you get proper training and workshops on interview prep and all at last it all depends on you how much you can give.

Remarks:

I cleared the JEE MAINS examination to get into this college my JEE score was not that good enough to get into some NIT or some other colleges so I had a very limited choice so I chose this college as it is in Chandigarh the beautiful city and a pretty good placement stats.
