SRCAS offers undergraduate and postgraduate admission in courses such as B.Sc and MBA. Students may apply online or offline. UG applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary Course of the Government of Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination, while PG applicants need a relevant bachelor’s degree from Bharathiar University or another recognised university.

Selection mainly depends on marks in the qualifying examination, which means Class 12 scores for UG courses and graduation scores for PG courses. The general eligibility criteria list at least 50% aggregate for UG admission and 55% to 60% in a relevant bachelor’s degree for PG admission. Most courses do not require an entrance test. TANCET applies to MBA and MCA admission, while Bharathiar University CET is used for M.Phil and Ph.D. admission.

SRCAS Admission FAQs

Ques. During which months does SRCAS usually open its applications?

Ans. The admission cycle generally begins in April or May after Class 12 results are declared. Students seeking UG courses such as B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, or BCA, as well as PG courses such as MBA or M.Sc, may apply through the college website or visit the campus. Applying early is advisable for courses with high demand because seats are given on a first come, merit only basis. Classes usually begin in June or July according to the university calendar.

Ques. Which SRCAS courses use entrance test scores for selection?

Ans. Entrance tests are not needed for most SRCAS programs because selection depends on qualifying examination marks. MBA admission considers both the applicant’s graduation record and TANCET score. Ph.D. applicants must take the CET held by the affiliating university unless they qualify for an exemption.

Ques. Is an SRCAS application allowed while final results are still pending?

Ans. Yes. Students awaiting their Class 12 board results or final UG semester results may apply before those results are announced. SRCAS can offer provisional admission after reviewing earlier academic performance. Once the final result is available, the student must upload the mark sheet within the stated period to confirm admission. This option allows applicants to meet admission deadlines without waiting for board or university results.
