PSGR Krishnammal Admission Dates 2027

PSGRKCW has completed admissions for the 2026-27 session. For UG arts, science, and commerce courses, selection was done through Bharathiar University counselling based on merit. PG admissions used TANCET 2026 scores. For 2027-28, postgraduate admissions are expected to follow TANCET again, while UG admissions are expected to use merit-based counselling.

PSGR Krishnammal Courses and Fees

PSGR Krishnammal Admission Process

PSGRKCW admits students to UG courses through merit and uses entrance scores for PG and doctoral selection. All programmes are open only to women candidates.

UG Programmes (BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA)

For UG courses, PSGRKCW does not conduct a separate college entrance test. Selection is based on Class 12 performance.

• Eligibility: Pass in Class 12 from a recognised board
• Subject requirement: Science stream for B.Sc. Commerce or Mathematics for B.Com. Mathematics at Class 12 for BCA. Any stream for BA and BBA
• Government-quota seats are allotted through Bharathiar University centralised counselling
• Management-quota seats are filled through a direct college-level merit list
• Final admission is confirmed after document verification and fee payment

Under the applicable government-quota rules, the college also accepts National Merit Scholarship holders and students from socially and economically weaker sections.

MBA Admission

Students applying for MBA at PSGRKCW must have a valid score in an accepted management entrance exam.

• Eligibility: Any recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates)
• Valid exams: TANCET, CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT
• Final merit list considers entrance score and undergraduate academic performance
• The usual TANCET MBA cutoff for the general category at PSGRKCW is in the 40 to 60 percentile band, so the programme remains open to a broad group of management aspirants

M.Sc, MA, M.Com, and MSW Admissions

For PG science and arts courses, students need the required undergraduate qualification along with a valid TANCET score.

• M.Sc: B.Sc in the relevant or allied discipline with minimum 55% marks
• MA: BA in the relevant discipline or an allied subject
• M.Com: B.Com or an equivalent bachelor’s degree
• MSW: Any recognised UG degree. Social aptitude is assessed at interview

PhD Admissions

PSGRKCW offers PhD programmes in 13 disciplines. Candidates with UGC NET, CSIR NET, or GATE can attend the interview directly. Other applicants have to pass the PSGRKCW Research Entrance Test and then appear for an interview with the Research Advisory Committee. The minimum requirement is a PG degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject.
