MSI Courses and Fees

MSI provides eight programmes through four departments. These GGSIPU-affiliated courses cover management, commerce, computer applications, law and education. The university-approved course fees, duration and basic admission requirements are given below.

The School of Law started the integrated BA+LLB Hons and BBA+LLB Hons courses in 2022-23. Each course admits 60 students. The Department of Business Administration and Commerce teaches BBA in two shifts. BBA General has 180 seats in each shift, while BBA Banking and Insurance has 60 seats per shift. BCA also follows a two-shift system with 120 seats in each shift. Its curriculum prepares students for MCA study and employment in the IT sector.

MSI Admission Process

Admission to MSI is handled through GGSIPU's centralised counselling system. Most applicants need an IPU CET score, while the accepted tests vary by programme. Government-seat courses do not have a separate management quota. Where management quota seats are available, admission must follow the rules approved by GGSIPU.

BBA, BCom and BCA Admissions

An applicant must meet the following course requirements:

• Students must pass Class 12 or 10+2 through a recognised board.
• BCA applicants must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory Class 12 subject.
• BCom Hons applicants need Commerce or Mathematics as a Class 12 subject.
• Applicants must have a valid IPU CET score for the relevant BBA, BCom or BCA category.

The admission process has these stages:

1. Complete online IPU CET registration through ipu.admissions.nic.in.
2. Take the computer-based IPU CET for the relevant course.
3. Download the scorecard and rank issued by GGSIPU.
4. Register for counselling and enter course and college choices on the GGSIPU portal.
5. Wait for seat allocation, which is based on IPU CET rank and category.
6. Pay the required fee and upload the requested documents.
7. Report to MSI Janakpuri and complete enrolment.

Integrated Law Admissions

Students seeking admission to BA+LLB Hons or BBA+LLB Hons must satisfy these conditions:

• Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 45% marks
• A valid CLAT score or IPU CET Law score

GGSIPU assigns seats through centralised counselling based on the applicant's CLAT or IPU CET Law rank. Both integrated programmes began in 2022-23 and have 60 seats each. They combine law with arts or business studies for students interested in litigation, corporate law and business law.

MBA Admissions

MBA applicants must meet these requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 50% marks
• A valid IPU CET MBA, CAT, MAT or XAT score, as permitted under GGSIPU rules

MSI introduced its MBA in 2022-23. Available specialisations are Finance, Operations, Human Resource, and Sales and Marketing. Seats in the IPU CET MBA category are allotted through GGSIPU counselling.

BEd Admissions

For BEd admission, a student needs at least 50% marks in graduation and a valid IPU CET BEd score. This NCTE-recognised course runs for 2 years and admits 100 students. It prepares graduates for Delhi government school teaching positions filled through the Directorate of School Education, Delhi recruitment process.

MSI Cutoffs

Seat allocation depends on the applicant's entrance rank, category and counselling round. For BBA at MSI Janakpuri, the Round 3 closing ranks for the Open No Home State category in the 2026 cycle ranged from 1,058 to 2,224.

BCom Hons and BCA also have competitive cutoffs in a similar range. BCA generally extends into a somewhat higher rank band, linked to the department's IT placement profile.

MSI Placements

MSI organises campus recruitment for students from its four departments. During the 2024-25 placement cycle, 286 students secured jobs across BCA, BBA, BCom and MBA. BCA recorded the institute's highest offer, supported by employer demand for computer applications graduates.

Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, SAP, Concentrix and Reliance Jio are among the recruiters associated with BCA and management placements. The BCA recruitment record stands out, with DE Shaw making the top offer of INR 23.5 LPA in 2024-25.

Since the MBA began in 2022-23, its placement system is still developing. MBA offers in 2024-25 ranged from a lowest package of INR 2.4 LPA to a highest package of INR 7 LPA. Placement results for the law courses are expected to take shape over the next two to three years as the first groups of students complete their degrees.

MSI Rankings

MSI appears in the national NIRF College category and has institutional accreditation from NAAC. Its latest available results are listed below.

The NIRF College category evaluates undergraduate institutions from different academic fields across India. MSI's 101 to 150 band places it within that national range among the assessed colleges.

MSI Scholarships

Students at MSI may apply for central schemes offered through the National Scholarship Portal, as well as scholarship programmes run by the Delhi government. Merit-based and need-based fee concessions may also be available under GGSIPU rules.

Applications for central scholarship schemes must be filed through the National Scholarship Portal. Students who are domiciled in Delhi may also submit applications through the Delhi government's e-scholarship portal.

MSI Campus and Infrastructure

MSI has one campus in Janakpuri, a residential area of West Delhi. Janakpuri West Metro station is on the Blue Line, and road and Metro links connect the institute with West Delhi, South Delhi, Dwarka, Gurgaon and other parts of the NCR.

Campus facilities and academic resources include:

• A central library providing digital access to online learning material and e-journals
• Classrooms with information and communication technology facilities for programmes such as BCA and MBA
• Raja Mahendra Pratap Hostel for students who need residential accommodation
• Two teaching shifts for BBA, BCom and BCA, allowing classrooms and laboratories to serve both groups
• More than 80 regular teachers, including 21 in Computer Science, 54 in Business Administration and Commerce, and 13 in Education

All four departments operate from this campus. MSI does not maintain engineering or technology laboratories because its academic focus is management, commerce, computer applications, law and education.

MSI vs VIPS vs MAIMS

MSI, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) and Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS) are private Delhi colleges affiliated with GGSIPU. Students considering BBA, BCom or MBA through IPU CET often compare their courses, accreditation, location and fees.

VIPS has the higher NAAC grade of A+ and ranks above MSI among GGSIPU-affiliated private colleges in Delhi. MSI differs through its BCA placement results and its School of Law, a course area not commonly available at GGSIPU-affiliated management colleges. MAIMS is a smaller Rohini-based institute with a similar set of management and commerce programmes. For many students, travel distance and the college's location within Delhi influence the final choice.
